I finally got to actually talk to my son yesterday! I was so excited that I could have peed my pants, but I didn't!! LOL
He sounded good, but tired. He said things were going well and that in reality, basic wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be. He is trying to stay under the radar. He said his biggest task right now is to get up to doing 40 push ups and 50 sit ups. He said he can do 30 something but not quite 50 yet. Told him not to give up that he will get there. He did talk to his sister and his dad, but not very long. My husband said all he really seemed to want to do is talk to me. He told me he takes my letters and goes off by himself and reads them and cries. He says he even re-reads ones he has already read. Told me how much he misses me and can't wait to see me when he graduates and I told him I felt the same way. I did not cry while I was talking to him, almost but didn't, but let loose after I hung up from him.
It was so good to hear his voice! I really miss that kid! But at least I know he is doing ok!.

Great news! Thanks for sharing! He wiil blow past those push ups and sit ups. And he will be home before you know it!

THAT'S WONDERFUL,MY AUNT DID THE SAME THING WHEN MY COUSIN WAS IN THE MARINES.YOU HANDLED IT GREAT.

That is awesome that you were able to talk with him. Letters are nice but there is nothing like beable to hear his voice I am sure.
