I got a letter from my son today!!!!!!!! I was so excited, didn't know if I was going to make it down the drive before reading it. Thought I was going to just have to stop the car mid way to read it.

He is doing fine. Says it is a little rough, but he is making it. Told me how much he misses us, told me he started going to church on Sunday morning. One of the songs I did for his graduation video was 2 Steps Behind by Def Leppard,( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv829hUuYAM) so I printed the words to that song and Forever Young by Rod Stewart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHNeRjC4nJw ) out for him and put them in an envelope for him to take with him. He says he reads the words to the Def Leppard song and thinks of me and it brings tears to his eyes know that I am always "2 steps behind". He said I should be gettng his graduation information soon. Asked about his dad and sister and told me to tell them he loved them and missed them. When he closed, he drew a face with tears coming out of the eyes. Made me cry but I am so happy I heard from him! I so miss my boy!

Thanks Sass...I feel better hearing from him and really knowing he is ok. I think we are going to be painting this weekend, so I am sure we will be busy. Was going to do some stuff tonight, but think me and my daughter will hang out. She was suppose to go to a dance at the church tonight, but she stayed home from school and I won't let her go. She is a little disappointed, but need to get her healthy again.

It is a beautiful song. I am glad you heard from him. Enjoy your time with your daughter. In the long run it will mean more to her than a dance.

I have been reading your posts about your son and everyone of them touch me. So, I felt I needed to respond. I am so glad that you heard from him and you know he is doing well. I wish the best for everyone in your family and will be praying for you all.

We all need to learn from you: appreciate everything you have everyday. Don't let money get in the way of your happiness.

Thanks....I think I called everyone I knew last night to let them know that I had heard from him!!! This will be something that I know I will keep. I have all his cards he gave me and most of the little pictures and little gifts he has made me through the years. He wrote me a poem a few years ago and I have it in a frame sitting out for all to read. Now we are waiting for the mail to run so we can see if there is anything else there. I know he will end up having a nice long letter that will be going out in the mail on Monday!
