Hey everyone~ I am sorry I have not been on for a while. I have been sick and not much in the mood to type or anything, had to come to work anyway and things have been busy at home and now I am trying to get ready to leave Wednesday.

Kyle did call on Sunday. He is doing great. He is excited because he gets to start wearing his dress blues today. When he got done talking to me, he was going to go back to his barracks and polish his shoes, again! LOL He is looking forward to going to tech school and have a little more freedom. He said basic has not been too bad, but he is ready to move on. He too has been counting down the days also. I tell you, he sounds so good!!! And he sounds very proud of himself also. You can just hear it in his voice.

Anyway, Like I said, I do leave Wednesday and will not be returning until late Monday night. I will be taking lots of pictures, so as soon as I am able, I will make sure I post them.

Just know I have not forgotten about you all, it has just been a little nuts around our house and work. I will fill everyone in about Kyle when I get back!!!

Thanks....and I am sure when I get back and get a chance, everyone will get an earful!!! LOL

I can hardly wait!! I am so ready to give him a great big hug and to let him know how much I missed him and to spend some time with him!!

This is the day that just a few weeks ago you felt would never get here. You survived!! You have a safe trip and enjoy the time with your son. And remember to thank him from this old sailor. You both are in our prayers, and we better see a lot of pictures when you get back!

I am so happy!!! I leave today!!! Can't wait!!!

I will be sure to give him everyone's wishes and Jon, you know there will be pictures!!!!

I was so happy about going to see him last night that I cried for a long time and ended up giving myself a headache! I still have it today also, but that is ok. I get to see my son tomorrow and I just cannot wait! It is going to be hard not to hug him constantly. We got our last letter from him at basic yesterday and he was excited about graduation and seeing me. He picked on his sister in it and even his dad. Wish we all could have gone, but...

My husband, bless his heart, had saved some money and got me a gift certificate to get my nails done before I left. He said this way I could not refuse to do it, so I even get to go with pretty nails!!

Well, I am at work, but know I will express wishes to him.

Again, I want to give my heartfel thanks to those that donated their hard earned points to help me get there and be able to enjoy my visit. You guys are the greatest!!! I love you all and I mean it.

A side note, my puppy is doing much better. We have gotten the infection cleared up and he is starting to be his old self again, just a little slower right now and with a bit of a limp, but you can see the mischief in his eyes! LOL Got my 401K money, which after they took out taxes and such, wasn't much, but did get the vet paid down, and paid a couple of small things taken care of and hubby has his part on order for his truck.
