do bank of america check the account of the person who wrote the check

Can you please clarify???

If the person who wrote you a check banks at the same bank as you, then they can check the balance.  If it is with another bank, they cannot.  Is this what you are asking???

I have an account with Bank Of America for last 7 years. My sister once gave me a check worth $70,000 few months back. She has also an account in the bank. Since, the amount was very high, so the bank checked her balance once.
