Questions on tuition (not federal/private) debt

What school did you attend?  Did they return all of the aid or only a portion of it???

There is no point in paying an attorney to settle the account when you can easily do it yourself. 

They charged you for the remainder of the course which you did not attend? They returned a part of the federal aid, having already deducted the fees for the 5 months that you attended the classes.

Please, if you do not understand educational debts, DO NOT POST. 

When you enroll in an educational program, you agree to abide by the withdrawal policy.  If you attend more than a certain length of time, you pay for the entire year.  You do NOT just pay for the 5 months you attend.
