Should I send a letter to the judge?

I have been served summons yesterday. The summons is for a credit card debt. I owe around $5000 on a credit card. I haven’t made any payment for the past 12 months due to financial hardship. What should I do in this situation? Should I send a letter to the judge?

You need to respond to the summons. Look up the rules for civil procedure on your county court webpage.
