I think you have received a call from a collection agency. You should send a debt validation letter in writing to them. If they don't validate the debt, then forward a Cease and Desist letter to them. Don't pay a penny without receiving a validation letter. It may be scam.

I got the same call today.

I researched and pulled all three of my credit reports.

This payday loan was not on any of them, neither was the collection agency!  {CM Associates}

SCAM!

PS - you can pull all three of your reports for free annualcreditreport.com - they won't give you a score, but at least you can see if this payday loan shows up under the 'derogatory accounts' section.  :)
