I replied to your post about the SOL. You dont need to worry about being sued.

YOU will only receive up to $1,000 ... the attorney will get his fees on top of that. My attorney earned 5 times more than I did, but he took my case on contingency, so I was not upset about that. If the attorney is willing to take the case on contingency (without you having to pay anything upfront, and you not having to pay anything if you lose) then I would DEFINITELY go for it. He will tell you if he thinks you have a case, he won't waste his time otherwise

they can argue that, but they can't prove that they WEREN'T harming you by showing either. I would check and see what the attorney says first though.

why not try and apply for a couple of credit cards right now (if you feel you'll be denied). Then you could use the rejection letters to show that they showed on your reports and likely were the cause for rejection? Ask your attorney first of course!

have you asked for credit anywhere, had interest rates raised, anything like that? Are they still showing on your credit reports right now?

I'm a loan officer. I can pull credit. The credit I pull will be legit. I can do this for you but of course you would have to give me your ss# in order to do so. Otherwise, you would have to go to TransUnions site to purchase it.

but that doesnt add up---in your post you showed that the credit report entry states that the account was paid in 07/04 and closed by customer.....and they are now claiming it was charged off and not paid. Honestly, I would use that credit report as evidence myself, they claim it was charged off, while your credit report shows "closed by consumer". They say it is past due, but your credit report shows "paid in 07/04". At least, thats what is in the post I read.....is that correct?
