i know i had such a hard time with them, but im hearing on posts of people getting 35% settlements with them which is unbelieveable to me they wouldnt budge at all with me.

sure, I used provanta corp debt settlement. but keep in mind it has been 5 years scince i have used thier program so you should still do research on them. By the way, IAPDA does not certify *companies*, they certify *people*. So if the company has an IAPDA logo on their site, check how many employees they have and how many are certified (you can find the latter on the IAPDA website.) It stands for International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators.

the attorney for your cc? and they are offering you 30% settlement of 14,000 if that is the case that is a pretty good settlement. see if she can come up with a better offer, but if she cant, i would take that its a pretty good deal. the 1,000 is that what you would pay them till its paid off (payment plan?)a settlement of 4,200 is pretty good.

i cant remember what iapda stands for but i remember it in another post that its a site along the lines of tasc were they keep the companies in check and make them follow guidelines. this is a good thing if they are members of that. I would say that 30% is borderline but do able in my opinion. so lets say for instance they take out some fees in the beginning. and say a debt of 100.00 they get settled for you for around 30.00(which mine were around this amount) they get 30% wich would be 21.00 so that would put your settlements around 50-60% which is about right. keep in mind that with settlement you want to save yourself about 50-60%. out of curiousity, can you tell me who you are considering? maybe i have heard of them before and can direct you somewere.

Well this all depens on how old the debt is and have you offered them any type of settlement amount, or did they offer any type of settlement amount? The best you can do is give them a call and see if some sort of arrangement can be made if you want to avoid going to court. If you can reach a agreement with them the case should be dismissed.

Thanks for the advice. I am looking at all possibiliites. Chase Bank put me in a crunch by raising my minimum payment to 5%. It is now cascading and I am searching for solutions.
