I have a question for you since I seem to agree with your answers and you seem extremely knowledgable about all this. Is Ram Financial Services a Reputable DS company. Seems like a lot positive info on them here.
If you can afford a DMP payment and still afford to pay fixed expenses like rent , power , water , food , phone , and stuff like that than YES stick with the DMP. However if you are overextended to where you can't afford to stay with a DMP and pay your fixed expenses than either debt settlement program or possibly bankruptcy" depending on how overextended " might be your best option.
Hey bro. How have you been? I got the 60% offer from that law firm for all 6 accounts. However, I'm wondering if there is anything that I need to be cautious with? May I send you the offer letter so that you can take a look at it? My settlement company says the offer letters are fine. I have read articles that creditors come back at customers 5 to 10 years later and claim the remaining balances. I'm scared of this. I just want to get some advice from you. Moreover, my settlement company is settling all my accounts with $10,000 more than the original amount that we agreed with. Should I ask them to cut the service fees? But How? It was $37500 but now its $48500 total to settle $62000 of debts. Alright man... thank you so much!!!
I will read it over later. But I still have a question on the settlement with the law firm. It has been one week today. How long does Citi or the law firm usually take to accept or reject the offer? She told me it was going to be a few days but not a whole week. Should I call them back again??
Hey bro. How are you doing!? I still haven't heard from that law firm which I talked to last Tuesday. How long do you think its gonna take? My settlement company don't seem to be happy when I told them I talked to the law firm tho. They said its a violation of the contract. Oh...man. What should I do??
thanks! im pretty fond of yours also. we tend to think alike. Sadly i tend to put to much heart into it and get mad and dont want to come back for a few days. maybe everyone feels that way here though! oh well ill be better tomorrow!
Hey, Mobile how are you. Well you were right Florida was too much for the Oakies'. I don't know if This is the right place to ask this question but I will You have been helpful in th past. I signed with New Begginnings and am just two month into the program. I got a call from a "certified arbitrator" said he was representing BOA he says that they consider Debt Settltment a scam and they consider it fraud and will file for a judgment soon if I don't deal direct with them. They offered to settle 16 K for 11K but of corse I can't do that now. the last pay. New Begginnings says that is probbably just a scare tactic. Wanted another opinion. Last payment was in SEPT.
I am considering going with the company Debt Shield out of Maryland. Can you give me any input about this company? I haven't been able to find anything negative about them. I am scared to death about being sued and I want a company that won't drop the ball.I am taking a partial payout of my life insurace so I will have maybe a couple thousand to start the program out with.
I am so torn between credit counseling and settlement. I work on a commission basis (self employed) and business is DOWN my immediate needs are a lower payment which counseling won't give? Any advice?
Hello, like everyone says, you seem very knowledgable. Do you know if Freedom Debt Relief is okay? I just started with them and I am a little nervous. Thanks
Hi. I see you respond a lot and you seem very knowledgable. We need to find a company, but the "companies" link for TN is bad. I've talke to Debt Remedy Solutions and Whitestar Fiancial but just get a weird feeling about them. Can you recommend any reliable ones? Thanks.
im really sorry i didnt get to your message until now. my blog is clickable under any of my posts, but here it is i hope you can find some information there that can help you! http://saving-money-during-a-recession.blogspot.com/
No company can make 100 % of their customers happy 100% of the time. I still think you made a good decision but you can always shop around and compare with some other credit counseling companies like Consumer Credit Management Services, Inc. and Debt Wave Credit Counseling inc.
I have heard only good things about Care One. Those guys from Wells Fargo are only telling you this so you can make a bad decision by getting a loan through them.
Fantastic, I am glad to see you can afford a DMP. Stick with it and pay extra when ever you can so you can get out of this debt asap. Good luck and God Bless. :)
Pennysaver, Care one is a good company so if you can afford a DMP with them go for it. I always suggest looking into doing a DMP before considering debt settlement. Before I suggest a specific program I would really like to know your budget to make sure you can afford to stick with a DMP. After paying off of your fixed expenses like mortgage , utility's , car , phone , ect... how much money would you have left over after paying the $650 dollar payment to CareOne ?
Guy , if you are overwhelmed and can't afford a Credit Counseling program " which it sounds like you are " you may want to look into a debt settlement program. If you can't afford a debt settlement program that is 36 months or shorter than you will likely be a better candidate for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy .
hi, mobile i was too scared to call the CC so i sent them letters to the address listed on the bills. Never have responses except from BOA that responsed and denied it. I'm not sure where to send the letters. I have not pay since Feb. I think they all sent to CA now. I got calls everyday and ignored them.If i decided to call CC is the offer should be in $ or %. And should the offer be the % of the last balance which added the interest and late fee? Thanks !
Hey mobile, I've been reading this forum for a while (recently registered though), and I know that you have vast knowledge of the settlement industry.I saw in your post about Credit Solutions that you mentioned that they had been kicked out of USOBA. What if I told you that not only are they still members, they are Accredited Members?I have an email from Jenna Keehnan, Executive Director of USOBA confirming this.Anyway, I just wanted to get your opinion on this. I personally favor TASC anyway, but this seems like icing on the cake.I work in the settlement industry by the way, TASC Accredited.
another yawner today.auburn?dec 6th can't come soon enough.them gators haven't defense like the tides.close game, but BAMA pulls it off.if for no other reason than to stick it to the boo-yas at espn.
I am a MGR for a company that markets for both settlement and credit counseling companies . I sometimes have free time through out the day so I try to help when I can. :) . Thanks for the compliment.

Hi- you give great answers and seem to be one of the least judgmental moderators on here! Do you do debt negotiation for others? Let me know.Thanks. Kate
Hi Mobile, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on a thread I started this moring in regards to a settlement letter. Any input would be greatly apreciated. Thanks,Brian
I know for a fact PDL Assistance does work. I am friends with the owner and I know for 100 fact it is a legit company. If you stick with it they will deliver.
I am looking to find a debt settlement company for my mother...She is 70 years old her debt is 39k ... She lost her job due to health problems and is no longer able to work...Her largest debt is with citibank 22k...She is not in default as of now ... I have been helping her with some of the payments but I can no longer do so, therefore we need help in finding a good debt settlement company ... All comments are welcome...We need help!
i'm pleased, but they have a brutal 4-5 games coming out of the bye.4-2 at the bye looks good right now.how about BAMA huh?#2 they could beat them sooners.
I have to aplogize - I had a HOF poll all ready to go for you and someone else decided to take it upon themselves to steal my job! I just don't want you to think I don't like you or something - The one I had for you was really big and had a cool pic of a race car with fireworks behind it!
Hey! So needing more of your advice. I decided I can not risk going with OVLG with the present information coming to light. So I am going through my EAP program for financial assistance. Here is my situation. I am only behind 30 days on 3 of my 9 credit cards. THe highest balance on any of the cards is just over $4000. After I pay off my storefront PDL's, which will be in about a month, I can afford at least 500-600 towards paying off the CC's. They are offering me a debt managment service that seems great. And it is free! Will this affect my FICO? Does this sound like something that will work for me?
my friend is into fantasy football.he wants to draft #4 number one,i want to slap him.i do think that BAMMA will shock people this year.GEORGIA 1 are you kidding!stomp them will ya.
We're hanging in there. My husband lost his job, so we're back to contractor income right now, which is part of how we got in such a mess to start with. But we're surviving right now anyway, taking it one day at a time. Filing BK has been a huge relief so far. Thanks for your support!
I know scary right! Well I found my company has an EAP program and am setting up to talk to a financial counselor to see what are my best options. OVLG hasn't returned my requests for cancelation so we will see. I can tell you that when I called and got a "new" counselor that he had no idea about contacting the counselors.
Good Question . I need a little more info from you beachgurlx to better answer your question. Are you overextended ?Are you current or past due on your cards ? If late how late.
thanks for your reply. I kind of confuse. If i do it by myself, is it better to do it in writing b/c i'm not good in talking. Whom should i address it to? is it the same add as the one i usually pay my bills? And abt my contract w/ sif does it means tt i break the contract? will i be legally responsible for breaching?? Thanks for your help.
Hi, mobile i need some advise. I have done my research in this forum since last year and finally decided to use sif xpert in June to do the settlement never hear from him after the retainer fee. I do not know exactly what happen. There are bad news abt him tt i found out this week in this forum. I think i have to solve my settlemnt by myself since i do not want to take the chance again. I have already 5months behind like I advised to be behind 4 months. My creditor are Wamu $7500, Amex $4000 and $3000 and BOA $8000. How and whom should i contact?? what should i tell them if i want to settle? and how much to offer?? do u think it is better to write letter?? since i'm afraid if i talk wrongly. And how do i know where to send the letter? is it the same mailing address as i make payment?? Thanks a lot. Hope to hear from u.
slim and none.slim just left.the packers are not releasing him.itwould be great, but the way he played that frigid day in soldier field.he looked all of his 39yrs and then some. LOL.
This site does not allow solicitations and thus I will not mention the name of my company. :( Sorry but rules are rules and I don`t want to break them. I can typically settle most debts around 40 % of the balance. It really depends on the creditor , state you live in ,your hardship ect.... I have settled debt for as little as 10 % of the balance but that is rare. When doing a settlement program there is always the risk of judgment but it is usually less than 1 % if you are doing a 36 month program or less. Even if a client was sued doesn't mean the end of the world . We can still settle on a judgment but will likely settle at around 60%-80 % . Debt settlement is a hardship program and is not a walk in the park but it will get you out of debt without having to file bankruptcy.
I thought you were happy with FDRS ? Did they not deliver on their promises ? The answer to your question is , its not to late for a settlement company to negotiate a settlement if its only been six months.
You rock! Thanks so much! I dont care what people think and I know that everyone may not agree. I am also working part-time at Hooters and I know it will help with my tips. We all gotta make a livin'!
I just have not really had the kind of followup that I expected and also my second payment is due tomorrow and I can't afford to be ripped off....what is TASC?
Thanks, Mobile! I have always had good credit until now (too good, obviously, since it allowed me to get in way over my head). So dealing with creditors and collectors is a new experience for me. This site is great; I've learned a lot from reading all of the posts!
No you didn't offend me about Saban! You can have him..Hope he doesn't lie to you guys! I am so ready for the season..Right now I'm hating Parcells and dying because I'm losing Jason Taylor. I hated Chad Henne all through college..Lets see if I can change my mind about that one! I still have not gotten over our shot at Drew Brees a few years ago..Saban screwed that one up.
I been getting by. Busy as hell, but getting by.As for Willy... I'm not going to allow anybody to carry on with the insults like that. She's real close to becoming a Wulfish hobby.
Mobile - Have a great holiday weekend. Here's to ND and Bama in a NC game in the near future! Remember those clashes between Bear and Ara in the 70's? The 1974game may be the best game I've ever seen (the Clements to Weber pass from the end zone on 3rd and 9). There are certain fans who are respectful of college football history, and I've always found Alabama fans to be respectful of ND, whereas most of the other big time schools (Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, BC, etc) are very disrespectful. Some of the old time USC fans, believe it or not, are actually some of the most respectful and appreciative fans about the history of the series. Texas is another.
Yeah, I've been playing the Yahoo NFL and NBA leagues for several years. It's pretty addicting and time consuming. But I love the live draft - fun to play owner/GM.
Just waiting on football season. Fall camp can't get here soon enough. These are the worst months for me as a sports fan - May through July - sheer boredom and agony.
Its me again...lol. Your information is so informative and helpful. I appreciate it so much. I can't believe that I let MB upset me so much. Thanks again. By the way, Alabama resident here...my hubby is a huge AL fan.
Thanks so much for your response. You made me feel so much better. Those people are such scums~!! They can make a person suicidial over the phone.....lord have mercy.
