Let me know how it goes.. I am from WA state also. and if you have any advice for other people let me know I am actually trying to start a website for people to get help like ourselves here for WA state! Good luck to you
Correct. Your SS check is not attachable, but they can attach bank accounts, invesments, ect that have your name on them. In most states, a judgement will automatically place a lein against your home if you own it. This is done directly by the courts. In the end, it is up to them how hard they want to collect thier money and they may do none of the above.
That is an option, but it also opens them up to being able to take you to small claims to collect. In some states, they can then garnish your paycheck, attach a checking account or attach other assets. I would do my best to work out arrangements with them up front thru upper management and not try with the store level employees.
Unfortunately, I do not have a magic plan to make them accept a payment plan. It sounds as though they have all been upfront with you on the procedure and requirements for an EPP. As I suggested in the thread, call the corp offices and see if they can do anything additional to help. The number for CIC is 423/479-2400. This is the switchboard and I would ask to speak to someone in Region 3, which is the area that you are in. They will probably give you another number with a 916 area code, but that will be to the office of the Regional VP. Again, I can make no promises, but this is the route that I would take.
