ASG has one of the best customer service reputations in the industry. All complaints are logged and followed up on. ASG is the only collection agency certiifed to the COPC standard for performance excellence. debt consolidation companies are not a wise choice for resolving a debt as the INTEREST CONTINUES TO ACCURE. A settlement is the best option if payment in full is not an available option. Know your fact vikas before you slander.

ASG lied to me that my SSN matches what they have on file, and I owe them over $900, since someone stop paying their credit card bill. In fear of identity theft, spend 4 hours on the phone with police, and credit bureaus, then spend over $40 to obtain credits reports. Finally, I was able to verify that my SSN do not match with anyone on this account with the credit card company, which is First USA bank. This type of unethical collection method cause taxpayer money (police are involved), and innocent people time and money. I filed a complain to the FTC. Do you consider this best customer service?

Lori,

They are not supposed to withdraw more from your account than what was expected. Collect your account statement, have copies of agreement and file your complaint with BBB and FTC with this. Also speak to consumer protection office of your state for their suggestion. Hope this information helps.

Jimmy,

You have two options to decide-

1. Contact your creditor and request them to report your account properly.

2. Dispute the item with credit bureaus. Send dispute letter through certified mail with return receipt requested. Hope you have some records of payments made to them. You can attach copies of those records with the letter.

Default Payment Type

When I was first contacted by ASG, they informed me that one of my options was to work with my bank on increasing my credit limit on my credit card to cover what had gone into collections. When that fell through they signed me up for monthly payments which I have paid faithfully. When I called today to put the rest of the balance on my credit card and be done with collections, they stated that they have never accepted credit card payments. Why do we have to suffer from contradicting statements every time we call? How did I end up in collections anyways? I'm a good person, I signed up for auto debit and the company ASG is working for took one payment and nothing else afterwards. This is truly ludicrous.

No, they should send you a letter within five days of contacting you by phone. Why not answer the phone, and find out what they want. Once you're done with that, I'd send them a DV letter via return receipt.

Default ASG STOLE MY MONEY!

My account with hsbc bank nevada went into default in august of 2006, they turned in over to a group called account solutions. Asg i started giving them 100.00 a month by personal check. The original amount was 1000.00 dollars they stop taking the money out of my account in december 2006. By jan 2007 they said it was no longer in there office. I received a letter from hsbc telling me that they were turning it over to united recovery systems. United recovery systems has since contacted me telling me i owe them the original 1000.00. I told them i only owe 350.00 now. What can i do asg hung up on me and said they dont have any records because its no longer in there office please email me at email address removed as per forum rules - Mike thank you
