stop them in their tracks.

I was stupid and got a payday loan for an emergency. Looking back, I would rather have delt with the consequences of not having the money at the time instead of paying 400% interest on $1000. It just eats me up inside. I got a spam email about debt consolidation, but i went to the site anyway. They helped me settle with Advance America and they retracted the credit reports. I still had to pay $200 above the $1000 I borrowed, but now I am making the payments through my debt consolidation company who is only charging me 15%. I am just glad I am not having to look over my back now. I dug back through my email and grabbed the link. After filling out the form you will get a call and can explain your situation.

It was a long link, so i made it short using tinyurl
tinyurl.com/6zv4qr

hope this helps.

I would tell BIG that they are no longer allowed to call you and that if they want to discuss the matter further, they need to contact you either via snail mail or email address. Keep telling them that and refuse to discuss the matter further- do not continue to talk with them on the phone. Hang up on them once you realize it's them, or don't answer the phone at all.

If they want their money bad enough, they *WILL* contact you by email and/or by the terms you told them. They are going to be difficult until you start being firm and adamant with them.

LOL...this company is well known for their harassment. We should start refering to them as "The Notorious B.I.G.".

Yeah they r really harsh, I have told them several times to stop calling me at work I even gave them my home number and they won't use it. They called my boss and told her that I owe them money and that they would continue to call until they got it. Also they saud they were turning me over to there legal department. What can they do to me I have already gave my employer the wage assingment letter saying I revoced it is there anything else I need to do.

Have you tried sending them a cease and desist letter for the phone calls? I know a lot of these lenders tend to ignore those and call anyway, but it's worth a shot. Who answers the phones at your work? If at all possible, have them tell them you no longer work there.
