princeSS31 -
Can you provide us a list of your debts - especially the PDL's? We can offer you some advice on how to get out of the PDL cycle - many times we find that people have overpaid on the PDL's already and can get their account marked paid in full, and sometimes, a refund of the overpayment (but not always - depends on the situation and the company).
Give us the following info, and we can help you out:
-State you live in (Alabama)
-Name of PDL companies you're dealing with
-Whether the PDL companies are internet or storefront
-Amount you borrowed from each one
-Amount you have repaid each one (including any fees and interest)
With that info, we can help you out.

I did a google search and found out that the SOL for credit card debt is three years.
Here is a link to help you find out about them SOLs in Alabama:
http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/SOL-by-State.html
I hope this helps.
Also, please provide all of the information that Suebee asked for. This will help in regards to pdls. They are a different monster altogether!
