Teia,
when you say your credit score is poor. What kind of number are you talking about? Many lenders have programs that can take care of your situation on down to 500 credit scores... even still a few have programs down to 475 credit scores... If you have equity in your home use it to pay off any debts that may be strangling you... There are lenders out there that will work with you up to 120 days past due...
In addition, some lenders are offering my clients loan programs that ignore collections and past due medical accounts.. thereby allowing a cash out refinance on their mortgage to payoff other debts...
Even still, I am aware of lenders that will allow you to go ver the value of your home and lend up to 125% CLTV...
Depending on how far in debt you are, you may want to consider your options in a debt consolidation loan by utilizing your most important asset you own - your home.
just my 2 cents.

These advance fee loan companies promise that money will be deposited in your account after paying the upfront fees. Be careful while dealing with the sales person of these companies who claim that money will be refunded back to you if the application is rejected. They intend to make money from you and later they will disappear.
Sometimes, most of the companies doing fraud will claim that the upfront fees will be credited later during the loan repayment. These are all various ways to cheat people and none of them happen to be true.

In the world of mortgage lending, it is illegal to charge an upfront fee to take an application no matter what your loan officer may tell you.
When applying for a loan, if you are required to pay an upfront fee, think twice. It shouldn't cost you money to hear a "yes" or a "no" through qualifying a few pieces of paperwork.
Just curious, how much money did you give this loan officer to process your pre-approval?
Best of luck.

was trying to get information from Susan Miller and told her she was a fake and told about the site and this was her reply.....
I reviewed the link to the webpage and I recognize several of these people. They are very recent customers and in all cases I am awaiting a clear copy of their drivers license to complete the processing on all. I have notified all of them. What they sent as proof documents were rejected by the lender and I have requested a scanned copy sent attached to an email. A faxed copy of something as small as a drivers license is simply not legible. None of the 3 have sent it to me as yet. When they do, I can finish processing their loan. It is a natural tendency for people who try to borrow money over the internet to not trust. I understand that, but think of the reality of the situation. Many millions of dollars trade hands over the internet every month. You give your credit card information over the internet often. It is the same thing.. And I have never worked for Capitol One or whoever they mentioned. We do thousands of these loans a month. How many complaints can you really find?

I received notification that your application for $600.00 has been approved. In fact, they have approved you for any amount up to a maximum of $7,000.00, if you wish. Your terms are for a "Non-Secured" personal loan at 10.5% APR for 60 months. Your payments on the larger amount would be $150.46 with prepayment of a Credit/Life & Disability policy. They are requiring the purchase of Credit Life & Disability coverage on either note to protect their interest during the period of the loan. Please read "What is Credit Life & Disability" below:
( Credit Life & Disability coverage protects the lender in the unfortunate event that the borrower becomes deceased or permanently disabled during the loan period and are unable to meet their financial responsibilites regarding this loan. This coverage will pay the outstanding balance of the loan to the lender in either of these events. The policy affords NO coverage to the borrower. The current premium for Non-Joint C L & D coverage for this coverage is $281.25 for a policy that would cover the loan for the full term.
Please click the link below to review a "Sample" loan package on our website. Remember these are only "Sample" contracts, but they are identical to the paperwork that would be prepared for you. There are 4 pages in the contract set. Please review these carefully. Along with 2 pages of the Loan Contract is a page called a "Sworn Affidavit of Fact". This document is also a "Sample" for your review. The purpose of this document is to verify your identity to the lender by YOUR NOTARIZED SIGNATURE on the document. Additionally, there may be additional minor provisions, not on the contract document, that will be specified by the lender and listed on this Affidavit (when you receive the real documents). I will explain these when necessary. There is also a sheet with specific instructions about how to process these documents with the lender to receive your loan funds.

(if this link doesn't work, please copy and paste the link directly into your browser search window)
If you review the "Sample" loan documents and wish to proceed under the terms and conditions contained therein, simply print the "Loan Acceptance Agreement" document from the link below and complete. On this document, you may select your loan amount, up to the maximum approved by the lender. After completing, fax it to 1-866-536-5247. When I receive this fax, I will prepare the proper legal documents in "pdf" format, which will include both pages of the "Note and Disclosure Agreement" along with a "Sworn Affidavit of Fact" containing all addendums and email these to you. You will also receive a full set of instructions in this email for signing and returning the loan package for processing and payment by the lender. Please follow these instructions carefully to avoid delays in processing and receiving your loan proceeds.

We are happy to be of service to you and look forward to hearing from you soon. If you have trouble viewing or printing either of the documents from our website, you may need to download the latest version of Adobe's "Free Reader" from adobe.com . A link is provided below. This program will allow you to open and access all legal documentsfrom Alliance Funding Corporation. Our fax number is 866-536-5247.

Just wanted to add to the many other comments on Alliance. I also applied just looking for a payday advance of sorts for Christmas, they approved me for 9,000.00 and wanted about 300.00 up front. Her name was....you guessed it! Susan Miller. Thanks to this board I know now it is a scam. Sorry others had to lose out but hopefully this will teach others NOT TO USE ALLIANCE!
Thanks everyone=)

It is always necessary to do proper researches about a company before entering into an agreement. By doing this research, we get an idea about the company and hopefully save ourselves from being scammed.
Never send money to any loan company that is asking it upfront.

Welcome to the forums.
You might have learnt your lesson by now. Always research on a company before you do any financial dealing.
Alliance Funding has already scammed a large number of people. The consumer protection office as well the BBB and FTC are regularly receiving complaints. I urge you to file your complaints there.
Next time, whenever you deal with any financial company, check the BBB and the local consumer protection office and see if there is any consumer complaints placed against them. Always remember, no legitimate loan company will ask for money upfront. If they are insisting you to send some, probably they are trying to scam you.
Regards

I sent Susan Miller a not so nice email on Monday. This was after a week of sending her emails that she did not resond to. She finally replied and told me that she tried to contact me on 10-06-05 to let me know that my loan had been processed and she was just waiting for a clear copy of my drivers license. I replied back how full of it she was and that I had not ever seen her website unitl 11-18-05 it was impossible for to have sent me emails at that time. She then sent me back a reply from Betsy White's email at Alliance Funding. She said that she did not appreciate me not returning her emails and me sending her nasty ones with a threatning tone. I explained to her that I had already contacted the appropriate authorites. She indicated that she would send me a document for my signature by the end of business so that I could have my money refunded. I am still waiting 3 days later. I have contacted the police dept in Texas and this is being investigaged. I told her that just because I was in Washington state did not mean I would not do everything in my power to make sure that she was stopped. I also told her that she made me sick everytime I looked on this site and saw another victim. I am not going to stop unitl I get her for what she has not only done to me and my family but for everyone else.

Welcome to the forums.
You must report this scam to the attorney general office in your state. This company needs to be put under investigation and it will only be possible after the authorities receive complaints in bulk.
Also, you should send a copy of your complaint to the FTC as well as the BBB. This company has tried to scam many people. Some of the people unfortunately fell into the wrong hands and lost their money. But, some like you have been fortunate enough after doing the proper research.
Let this word spread and save people from being scammed. We need to stay together and help people who are going through hard financial times. They should not fall into the wrong hands and thereby increase their worries.
Regards
