• Violating FDCPA on several counts.

What to do when you're harassed by Allied Interstate

 • Ask for identification: If you have been contacted by Allied Interstate, you may respond to their call and ask the caller to identify himself/herself. If it is a call related to debt collection, ask for their physical address.
 • Debt validation: Send a validation letter via certified mail with return receipt requested and preserve the receipt for future references.
 • Check credit report: Pull your credit report to check if they have it reported to the bureaus. If they have wrongly reported to the credit bureaus, you may dispute the same with them.
 • Do not settle over phone: Don't authorize payment over the phone even if you receive proper validation.
 • Send C&D letter: If you've been contacted over a debt you don't owe or where the SOL has expired, you may send them a Cease and Desist letter. Once the SOL has expired, you still owe the money but you can't be sued for it.

Hi
We know that the business of FDCPA laws by a CA results legal action and the consumers can file a class action lawsuit against them.
So what happens when there are shady collection agencies like Allied Interstate Inc still in business? They call people endlessly without any details of the debts and show rudeness. They go against the Mini Miranda disclosure as mentioned in Section 807(11) of the fdcpa. The company is also famous for false representation of the accounts. You can be forced to pay some unknown account because of their wrong contact. Remember, "Allied Interstate" can be sued up to the $1000 depending upon the extent of damages.
I read many of you being victimized by this collection agency. Use the federal laws as a protection against such shady collection activities. Report them to the FTC, BBB as well as the State Attorney General office.
How many of you want Allied Interstate Inc to undergo legal actions. I am thinking of consulting an attorney and put a legal fight against them. I will like all of you to post your experiences here so that it can be documented. After browsing through this forum thoroughly, I picked some threads of their illegitimate business.

 • The illegal activities of Allied Interstate. The poster in this thread said that the company wanted to settle the matter without any documentation. This is illegal.
 • Allied Interstate making threatening calls to the family members. It is illegal as per the FDCPA laws.
 • Here is an example of Allied Interstate not identifying them and making regular calls at work.
 • This collection agency uses profane language and gets in contact with the wrong person.
 • Allied Interstate will try to force you and make a payment on the debt that is past the SOL period. You are under no legal obligation to pay the debt if it is past the SOL period.
 • One more thread about the misdeeds of Allied Interstate Inc.
 • This company does not identify properly while leaving messages on the phone. They keep calling endlessly.
 • Allied Interstate never stops. They contact persons who do not owe any money.
 • Allied Interstate reviews the credit reports without permission.
 • A thread on bombarding phone calls done by this collection agency.
 • Threatening calls starting from early morning and ending just before 9.
 • Allied Interstate harassing whole year
 • Here is the contact address and phone number details of Allied Interstate Inc.
 • Calls get disturbing for someone not related to the accounts.
 • People are getting fed up with allied interstate and their calls. No phone numbers, no e-mails just mailing address but not sure whether it is proper or not. Contacting them is really tough.
 • Confusion is still there on LVNV Funding and Allied Interstate.
 • Allied Interstate Inc not following up with the cease and desist letter.
 • Getting empowered on how to deal with Allied Interstate.
 • Harassment with "person to person"

A new thread on Allied Interstate contacting a wrong person.

Collection angencies are pestering me. You see my car was repossesed by the bank in 2006. In June 2007, I received a call from a collection agency about an unpaid debt. She told me that the bank authorized them to collect the debt. I told her that the bank repossesed my car due to default. She told me that I still have to pay them no matter what. Is this true? The amount involved is $13,000. Why do I have to pay them when in fact the reason for repossesion is I can't pay them anymore? I might consider paying the 3 months I was delinquent but not the whole $13,000. And now 4 more different collection agencies are involved and hit my credit so bad as expected. Looks like a "wiiner take all" contest for them. One of them is Allied Interstate.

Please enlighten me.

My answering machine has multiple messages on it from Allied Interstate requesting me to call them.

I don't have any outstanding debts so I don't know why they would be calling me.

There were 2 different numbers they left on their various messages.

1-866-577-3914
1-888-680-2954

I'm NOT going to call THEM. They called when I was at work.

This sucks!

this company has been calling me and my mother in law on a regular basis. When I contacted them to ask for a fax number or mailing address to send a C&D letter, they refused to provide either. Does anyone have an address for them?

I have a legitimate $60 debt owed to Sprint/Embarq that Allied Interstate now has as their account. I have never recieved a call from them but I have left several messages for them to return my phone call and they have not. I sent a check in almost two months ago for the $60 and it has not cleared my bank. The only phone numbers I have for this agency is 800-441-2127 and 336-332-6979 which are the same number and go to the same voice mail I receive every time I call. No one has returned my call and I need to know if I should cancel this check or not. I want to pay this so it can be cleared off my credit report.

Sub: #116 ALLIED CALLS 4 X A DAY & NO TALKThu, 03/27/2008 - 14:32

FOR THREE MONTHS I HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROM ALLIED INTERSTATE (WHICH I JUST FOUND OUT THEIR NAME TODAY FROM ATTY GEN JAY NIXON) WELL, I ANSWER THE CALL, NO ONE SPEAKS, SO I HANG UP. 5 MINUTES LATER, SAME THING. 4 TIMES A DAY, EVERY 5 MINUTES. I TRY TO CALL THE NUMBER ON THE CALLER I.D. BACK, BUT I AM TOLD IT IS AN INVALID NUMBER. IT IS: 1-866-720-1469. I NOW HAVE AN ADDRESS TO WRITE TO; ALLIED INTERSTATE, ATTN: COMPLIANCE DEPT., 3000 CORPORATE EXCHANGE DR., COLUMBUS OH 43231. I HAVE NO DEBTS, I WANT THESE NUTS TO JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! WHAT BURNS ME UP IS THAT THEY CAN CALL ME FROM THIS NUMBER, BUT I CAN'T CALL THEM BACK ON THIS NUMBER! AND NOBODY HAS EVER SPOKEN A WORD TO ME, NO LIVE PERSON, NO RECORDING, NO NOTHING! JUST LISTEN AND HANG UP. I SAY HELLO, WAIT, LISTEN, 30 SECONDS OF DEAD AIR, THEN IT HANGS UP. WHY BOTHER TO CALL IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SAY ANYTHING? IT'S STUPID! I HAVE RECEIVED 100 CALLS OR MORE FROM THIS SAME NUMBER. MY NEXT STEP IS TO WRITE TO THE ADDRESS I WAS GIVEN BY MY ATTY GEN. SEE IF I CAN GET THESE IDIOTS OFF MY CASE!

My husband has a sum posted on his credit report that comes from allied interstate. the first time we called we were told basically oops this is someone else with the same name that lives in california. We assumed (big mistake) that it was over and done with. Last night we were trying to get a loan with our bank for a new car and we were informed that our interest rate is higher b/c of an un paid debt. We didnt understand what it could be. Well we bought a credit report and low and behold the claim was still there. So resolve the issue we called and talked to 4 very rude people who couldn't give us any information about the company that we supposedly owed money too AND to top it off couldn't even pull up any information about my husband in their data base. But yet we still have a claim that is damaging our credit. So we've decided to take legal action and are current looking through the fdcpa for as much info as possible. If the company ( Allied Interstate) is a fake company then they just chose the wrong people mess with. Since my husband is a military member we dont have to worry about lawyer fees and he isnt one to just let something like this go.

If any of you have anymore info about this company that could please with this case it would be very helpful. thank you.

By the way we never even got a phone call or letter from these people. We just happened to find it on our credit report. So i would suggest you check your reports often.

Sub: #118 Getting Harrassed??? Would love to sue themThu, 04/24/2008 - 11:06

I would love to sue these guys!!! I had been the victum of identity theft. I was first contacted by a debt collector acouple months ago..I dont know by whom. They told me I owed this debt and I told them to prove it and they refused me. I told them I never owned that card and that I must be the victum of idenity theft. Of course they tried to get me to pay. They told me that no one would believe me and that they had a recording of me telling them that I did owe the debt. Well I told her off and she hung up on me saying that they weren't going to deal with me.

I called Bank of America about a month later. They had the case deleted and marked off as identity theft.

So I get a call from Allied last week...actually they called my brother. I called them then right after he gave me their message. I made sure they had my correct address and number. They refused to listen to me about this being identity theft.

I called Bank of America again and got my account number and a contact person in the Fraud department. She reviewed the information with me that i was the victum of identity theft and that I did not owe any debt. She now is sending me that information. I called Allied back giving them the contact person at Bank of America and my cases number and everything. He put me on hold for like 10miutes with no response so I hung up.

My friend emails me today that Allied called her and wondered what was up..what I okay. I was P OED....I called them back...verified that they had my current address and number. I let them again know that I had this matter resolved with Bank of America...that they were not to call my family and friends and that I considered this harrassment. Of course they didn't believe me...and hung up on me. I had to call Bank of America again and then my contact person from that Fraud department conferenced a call with Allied and told them to stop calling my friends and family. I
I am now sending them that cease and desist letter. I will look into suing them in small claims court...if anyone thinks my case could help them I would consider joining a case action suit.

I asked them to prove my debt and they said they didn't have that information.

Don't take it from these guys. Please feel free to contact me if there are any quesiton. I will be looking back at this post later.!!!
