Draft a cease and desist letter to Allied Interstate's mailing address. This should legally stop them from calling your place. Find the sample letter in this link

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...-cdletter.html

If they still continue calling your home, sue them for the fdcpa violations and get compensated for the damages.

I have been in contact with this company for 30 days now. At first they refused to take any kind of payment except for over the phone. They have hung up on me, made threats about destroying my credit, and have even cursed at me. When I asked for a supervisor I was told no. When I asked for verification of the dept I was told no. What can some one do to stop these people. I have never spoke with someone so nasty and threatening before on the phone. If anyone has any information that might help please email me email address removed as per forum rules - Mike

Regarding Allied Interstate, how do I file a complaint? The BBB online complaint form does not have allied interstate in its list of companies, so i am confused. Any help is greatly appreciated. They keep calling my boyfriends mothers cell phone, insisting that she is me and harassing her on a daily basis. (I'm sure this isn't something you haven't heard several times) I actually spoke with the man today. He was so concerned with what was being said in the background. He heard my soon to be mother-in-law call him a telemarketer and was offended, in return he got rude with me saying "pay yo billz, pay yo billz" . (I love how professional it sounds). So I snapped. I tried to call back and get a supervisor (that was fun) He intern got smart again, transfered me to someone (who obviously wasn't a supervisor or manager) and I left a message, never got a return phone call. To shorten my story , we were called six times in a matter of 10 minutes . We were all furious and didn't get anywhere with this matter. I just want to make payments (I own $214.00 By the way) and I want some type of action taken with this company. So if anyone can help please let me know my email is email address removed as per forum rules - Mike
in the subject put (help with allied) or something along the lines of that.

Thanks
Stephanie

I owe on a medical bill but have made payment arrangements with the hospital on my own. However, Allied Interstate is still calling me literally 4 or 5 times a day, and I have told them several times that arrangements have already been made and they are not necessary. They only tell me that they will keep calling all day every day as often as they like until I pay them personally, not the hospital. They call me "sir" but use nothing but sarcastic and demeaning tones and everytime I try to explain myself to them, they interrupt and ask when "they're getting the money I have to pay". What can I do about this? Anything? What should I tell them to get them to back off?

You have already explained the facts and they are not listening. Send a letter explaining the situation and mention the cease and desist communication with it. This letter will legally restrict any contacts with you in the future. If they continue, get a legal case against Allied for violating the fdcpa. The court will rule in your favor and the company will compensate for the violations.

You should also start recording their phone calls. Check your state laws if you can do that secretly or you need their permission. They will change their methods after knowing your actions about filing a legal case.

Hello

I've read over the posts in this thread, but I'm not quite sure about my situation. Here's the skinny: I received a phone call today from the number 866-235-0053. When I answered, the person hung up. I dialed the number again and was put in touch with a representative who stated that I had called Allied Interstate. I told her that someone had called me from that number and I would like to know the nature of their business. She asked for my telephone number and name and then said that they are collecting a debt owed to BMG. I told her I was not aware of any debts incurred through that service. She stated that it was a valid recent debt for the amount of $32.04 and that I need to pay this over the telephone right now. I told her that I have no problem paying a debt that I owe, but I would like an invoice or some documentation mailed to me pursuant to their claim. She stated that BMG had sent several mailings to me and that they had sent one notice of collection. I asked for what address they were mailing to, as I had moved recently. She gave my old address and I told her that I haven't lived there for four months, could she please resend the notice of collection and any other documentation to my new address? She stated that they can not do that and that she needs my banking information in order to process payment over the telephone. I told her that I would like documentation first and that I do not give out banking information over the telephone, but that I would be happy to mail a bank check or money order after I receive proof that I owe this to them. She refused and wanted to argue with me. I asked to speak with her supervisor.

I was on hold for a few minutes and a gentleman came on the line and asked how he could help me. I told him what just occurred and and told him that I have no problem paying for a debt that I owe, but that I would first like to receive documentation of this debt along with an invoice to remit payment, if necessary. He immediately became combative and told me that I should be ashamed of myself for taking advantage of creditors who trusted me to do the right thing and how dare I steal. I was shocked and became angry and told him that I do not give my banking information over the telephone; if he wants payment, he will comply with my requests and then the matter will be resolved that way. He absolutely refused and threatened legal action. I told him if he really wants to go through the hassle of suing me for $32, then fine, go on ahead. Or he can do it the easy way and give me an address so that I can send a letter requesting more information since it appears he and his associates are not able to send a copy to me. He made a few more threats but eventually gave me an address that he stated as the payment processing center and can he expect payment by the end of this week. I told him I will put a letter in the mail tomorrow and we'll go from there. He ended the conversation by saying that he will note my account that I am not trustworthy and that I should be pursued diligently if no payment is received by this Friday.

Am I in the wrong here? I've read some of the other posts and understand about sending a debt validation letter via certified mail with a return receipt. Do they have the right to harass me in that fashion, by attacking my character and my morality and insult me because I don't want to give my checking account information over the telephone? It is all right for me to request mailing information to send in another form of payment, is that right?

I'd been receiving calls for the past week or so from various random looking phone numbers but I'd hang up after I heard the voice recording asking me to hold. I thought it would be a telemarketer.

But tonight I decided to wait and see if a live person came on the phone. A male finally asked if so-and-so was there. I'd never heard of that person in my life and said so. I also added would they please remove me from whatever list I was on and quit calling me.

At the time I didn't know who this company was or why they were calling me. He said I wasn't on a list so I asked him to just quit calling me. He said not with my attitude and said he'd be calling back tomorrow.

I did some quick searching on the 'net and found out who this company was. So I called back and got a female on the line. I explained to her that I didn't know the person they were calling about and would they please quit calling me. She was very nice and said she would, but I have a feeling I'll be hearing from them some more.

Talk about rude! I can't believe a company can operate like this. I'd say I'm surprised people can be so rude, but I'm sure the teenagers they hire to man the phones get quite the thrill out of being so rude on the phone.

If I get another call from them for any reason I will send in the C&D letter. If I get any calls after that, I'll call the lawyer.

i too am dealing with ai. They are calling and harrassing my husband and I about an account that doesn't even belong to us. I've told them over and over that this person is not us. The last four digits of the social they give me doesn't match my husbands, neither does the address or the account they are trying to collect on. We have never had a Verizon phone account. I've contacted BBB and The FTC and I will be contacting the attorney generals office. These peopole are very rude, they yell and curse and even try to speak to me in another language. They need to be stopped.

Stacey - you are taking exactly the right steps to get them stopped. You should not have to send a cease and desist letter if the debt is not even yours (at least I don't think so - someone correct me if I'm wrong) - although perhaps it wouldn't hurt to send one and cc in the parties you are filing a complaint with. Include the cease and desist letter in your complaint, and it will carry all the more weight.

They wont even tell me what Company I had this supposed debt with that they are trying to collect on. THe daily phone calls are seriously disrupting my life!!! I REALLY need an address to write these clowns to get them to leave me alone! Oh, they have NEVER contacted me by mail, ONLY by telephone...daily..sometimes twice a day..EVERY day! Help!

I just thought you would all be amused to know that I called Allied Interstate at a number that showed up on my Caller ID and when they asked for my phone number, I gave them their number from my caller ID and the rep said "Hm, there are 7 accounts listed for collection at that number." I about died laughing.

P.S. I registered just so I could post that.

I am a college student right now, and I managed to rack up a hefty phone bill on a trip to canada.

Allied Interstate called me after I didn't make a payment on my bill for about... 4 months. I didnt contact Verizon or anything about it, which was irresponsible on my part.

But so far my representative at Allied Interstate has been very courteous with me. I haven't had a problem yet really.

I am just curious though. I did ask that when they send my final letter on my payments, that I have the dates and amounts of all payments made printed out and sent to me. He told me I could not have that done, that I would have to make a phone call to a different place for that.

Is that illegal? Or is that right. I am just curious about the whole thing.

Thanks anyone who has feedback.

I don't know if Allied Interstate has a different payment division who will be updating your statement. Ask the same person about where to get the statement after the payment is done. You need to have the deal in writing before sending your money to this company. That person might be doing the collections on your account but he needs to prove that he has authorization to collect your payment. You got to be sure that your money will be actually going towards the account with them.

We've been getting phone calls day and night, weekends, from this number insisting on Eric or Derek and no one by that name (has ever) lived here. Allied Interste will not take no for an answer so I asked to speak with a supervisor. He uttered several profanities, including the ubiquitous "F you". Because of tracking devices, I have a location for this caller down to a street in Texas. What are the chances a Democratic society could vote yes on the proposition to outsource a personal call complete with baseball bat to Mr. Vulgar?
