I have had the same problems with my bill from AVON.. I lost my job and counldn't pay it so they turnedit over to ADC and they called like a million times. I would talk to one and set up a payment arrangement , and the next day someone new would call saying I had never talked to anyone at "Their Comapny" and I had to pay the bill in full, and I had no record of having a payment arrangement set up trhough them... I was going crazy... I sent it the full amount settlement check like they asked.. and I swear this shit had better be taklen care of and they had better neevr call my number again.. How rude and yes they do say "you will be put in jail if the bill is left unpaid"No judge is going to put a monther or 2 children with no job in jail for a 200.00 bill PEASE!!!

I started getting these calls a year after I stopped selling Avon... so I emailed the national collections at avon .com and explained that I made the proper returns to bring my account to zero-they checked the ups tracking numbers that THANK GOD I saved and I finally got s reply that said my Avon account was cleared and closed and the balance was ZERO- the next day ADC called and I asked them for an email address to send the update that I had cleared the account with Avon and that they could stop calling and she gave me some hard time about it being a Federal building and they only had a fax number not even a mailing address and then she hung up on me- so I called back and left a message with the explanation and to stop calling me- so we will see what happens now...

On my answering machine, "This is Allied Data Corporation. Either you or your attorney need to call us by noon tomorrow, toll-free # blah blah blah..." Didn't say who they were calling for or what it was in regard to. Figured it was just a new twist on telemarketing till I found this forum! I don't have any delinquent bills and have excellent credit. But I figure if anything legal is going to take place, they would at least need to send me a certified letter or something, not just leave a generic message on my machine....

I received a bill from these people in 06/04. I paid the bill. I wrote down the check number on my bill and the date mailed, etc...I received nothing from them since. So, you think it's fine and all is taken care of. They started calling me 11/06 with their threatening phone calls. I didn't know who they were anymore. I went through my past bills and found what I had done to pay it. I called them, left a message. I e-mailed and left a message. I decided to get the cancelled check and fax it to them. I looked in my bank account and it never cashed. Ok, I know they recevied it because from june of 04 on I never received another bill or heard from them for over a year and a half. Ok, they just figured it didn't cash, fine. So after I call 3 times and sent an e-mail, their messages stayed the same, no other word in except we received your messages were going to make an important decision, lawyer, blah, blah, blah. I call again. I tell the person, the story. They tell me that Allied no longer has my account and then he said after I told him when I sent my check that co-incedintally it was that month that they passed it somewhere else. I told him I knew they received my bill, why would they not send me another bill or my new creditor send me another bill? I knew he was lying. I just said, no that's wrong, that doesn't make sense to me. I said if they don't have my account anymore then stop calling.

I received a call from these morons for a past due account I have with Avon. My husband just joined the Army a few months ago and I told them that I have every intention on paying the debt, but we are trying to get our life back on track and would be glad to pick this up after the first of the year. She said fine. The VERY NEXT DAY, I got another call from another lady stating I needed to pay SOMETHING within the week or else they would take me to court and then I'd have to pay 500-600 because I'd be responsible for their court costs. I told her to hold off until the first of the year and she said she couldn't do that; she would have to present it to their attorneys. She then tells me that if I didn't take care of this and it goes on my credit, that would keep my husband from picking up rank. I told her no way and when my husband got home I told him and he said she was giving me a bunch of crap just to get me to pay. So I tried to call back to speak with someone else, and I was put on hold for 5 minutes. Finally a machine comes on the line and tells me that all their representatives were away from the phones at the time. I thought that was a load of bull, but whatever. So then I get another phone call today and they make the same threats to me again. I told her my husband says she was lying about my credit affecting him picking up rank and she says, "Well, maybe he doesn't realize it will." I told her I just recieved a notice yesterday stating that I had 30 days to respond to the notice about that particular debt and she said I would have had 30 days if I'd have responded the week before. I thought that was a load of bull, but whatever. Before we got off the phone I told her I could make only a payment of $5 today and she says it would cost me $16 to make that payment via Western Union. They are genuine certified CRACK HEADS! I'm definately looking into this company more. Something's not right about them. I have other relatives who owe AVON and they haven't been sued and their debts are at least a year old. I don't plan on letting mine go that long because we are trying to get our lives back on track. But I won't be made to feel like I'm being backed into a corner.

i had a hispanic gentleman called my damn cellphone leaving me a threating message in english and in spanish, well the account is under my bf of 5 years, well the guy thought that were married and i have told him that we're not married, he stated that if u lived with someone for over 6 months, you guys are considred married...well he was harrsing me telling me that if i dont pay up that he will get a attorney on me and my bf..he said that i too was in charge of the account, when then again my name is not on that damn account...i told him that my bf was at work and does not get off till 8pm pacfic standard california time, he said that he can't wait till 8pm for the money and that we have to pay up or else...so what should i do if he called again?

All you guys are telling yall stories so let me tell you mine. First of all if you pay your bills yo would not be getting harrassing calls as you call them, second of all when you say that you have already paid avon then yo need to take it up with them because for some reason are another they are still sending your file to a collection agency. Some of you guys have been to several agency and just wont pay so before you blame any collection agency abot any debt that you owe you need to blame yourself and then check with whom ever you might owe because how else would any agency get your file they would have to get it from that company who claims you owe right!!!!!!! I'm just wondering how could you go on a sight and talk about how a company operate if you owe a bill that is you resposibilty so take care of it

Just got a phone call from these guys about a bill I owe with Avon for 124.64. I haven't paid cause no money but recently got enough to pay bill. Now the lady I talked to Ms Lane Hopely says I can send a check dated for april 30th and they won't cash it till then and to send it tomorrow priority and call her with a tracking number.Should I do this?

I can understand if someone is being RUDE to them!
But I was nice and taking time to give info that
she asked to get my bill paid. All the lady can ask
me is how I got Western Union info and it duh the
letter you sent dated April 10 but I didn't receive
till April 16! Shouldn't matter how I got info!
I know I had my Avon bill to pay,wasn't able to pay
before,now I am able,I want to pay it,so help me and
we all move on. Is that so hard to do?? Must be for
the lady I dealt with cause all she could do after I
gave her the info was slam the phone in my ear!!
