I too have been harrased continually from these people. I don't even know what it's about. They leave threatening messages and the last one was to have my attorney call them. Attorney?? What for?? I apparently have until noon today to either call them or have my attorniey call them. What a bunch of hooey!!

Either call them back or answer the next time they call. Verify that you are the person they are looking for, verify your mailing address and inform them they now have 5 days to mail you their dunning letter. Then end the call. Do not let them engage you in any further conversation. When you receive their dunning letter, immediately respond with a DV.

I received a phone call today from a Mr. Banks regarding a past due Avon account. Mr. Banks misrepresented himself as if he was from an attorney's office. He also failed to use the mini miranda "this is an attempt to collect a debt...". Anyway, I have never received a letter or phone call from them before yet Mr. Banks proceeded to tell me the only way I could keep from getting sued would be to pay him NOW! When I asked him for a letter he said the only way he could contact me was through email! WHAT??!~?!? I've never heard of such a thing. I was a debt collector for 6 months at a Nevada Agency. Obviously, I left because of there ill work ethic and illegal practices. Note to Former Collector-Do you think I would have a law suit without a recording of the conversation? I know this Mr. Banks broke a couple of the FDCPA laws but will this just come back and bite me in the butt per hear say? Any pointers on this matter would be great! Thanks

Im glad that I decieded to research about ADC before i sat down and paid them. I keep recieving calls about my Avon account. This lady Ms. Wyatt called me every single day until she learned that I wasnt going to answer her calls any more. I ordered 4 items from Avon 3 different times, and never recieved anything. So i called my "district manager" about the products. It took me 4 months to finally get in touch with her. I emailed her several times a week and even called her almost every day. When i finally reach her, she claims that she has nothing to do with this anymore and that I better go ahead and pay them before I get sued. I cant possibly understand how a company can sue you for something that you never recieved. Thank you, everyone who has helped me understand that I dont have to pay them. But if anyone has any more advice for me, please let me know.

I got the same message that everyone else is getting. I have never bought Avon - so I know it cannont be that. Does anyone else know of any other company they may be working for?

I beleive the Avon references are from posters who formerly sold Avon.

Does this company only go after Avon charges. I have not heard of any other companines. I owe $92.00 in finance charges to a company in Tx - but I will not pay them... that is the only company I can think of that I would owe.... does this company work for accounts outside of TX?

This company happens to have no idea how to talk to people, they are extremely rude. I sent a check 8 business days ago, and they claim not to have received it. They want me to cancel the check with my bank, causing me another fee I can't afford just to mail another check! I have never dealt with thes type of harassement in my life, and I used to be a collector with a degree! I would say that AVON should try different tactics!

Know what I did? I sent them a cease and desist letter by certified mail last year. That shut them the hell up. I advise you all to do the same if you want them off your back.

Today they finally left a message and just said that me or my attorney need to give them a call. So i looked them up. I am so glad everyone has written here. Now i know what to expect when i do call. That is also the only reason why i know who these people are. "

Hey, you guys who owe money to avon. I owe money to avon too and I just want to know what Avon will do about it. They kind screwed me because they were charging me for things twice. They charged me for items that weren't available and they told me that it will available for next campaign but when they sent it they charged me again. Also there where items missing from "buy one and get one free offers" and customers don't like that. Plus, they were chairging me for who knows what because I keep track of everything I sell and need to pay avon but they are charging me a lot more than what they supposed charge me. Anyway, I' about to have a baby soon and I'm tight in money. I don't think I'll be paying them anytime soon. Maybe if they were charging me the right amount they would've got their money. Anyway, I just want to know what they will do about it.

Hey sweetborigirl I also owe money to avon. you starte getting thing that you think are gifts so you keep them then later on you find out you have to pay it sucks. If your still getting papers from credit sunrise you should call avon ask to set up a payment plain and they will work with you. I wated to laong to do anythind and now I have to deal with these a******* ADC allied data corp. they only called me once and now want to send me to court. But they have no idea how much research i did on them so take my to court a********.... Let me know how it goes
