i live indiana this place calls 15 times a day maybe there on the phone maybe not, for the other dude all i can say what goes around comes around one of these days youll be done on your luck lose a job, have devasting illness , or a very sick child , then they call do winer, for the rest of you all i feel like you do when all calls they are rude ,people i know my credit shot who cares i wish they back off lucky there in tx im in indiana thanks for listening

adc just called me demanding payment arrangements for my 152.00 avon bill. when i told them that i could not make arrangements, but that i would send them as much money as i could now, and the rest later they said that i had to make arrangements. I asked them for their address so i could send some money, and they told me that i could not have the address unless i set up payment arrangements and hung up on me. i guess they don't want any money.

All night and day even on sundays so sick of it. My son owed some credit card bills we helped him pay then all but (one that would not deal) so now i guess this place got the bill to get the money they keep adding more money and keep calling he said he could pay a little at a time but they said no we want it all...my has has a hard time cause of a bad car wreak and got a broken back he's 23 he make so little money he just can not pay it all it started out at 400.00 now its like 1000.00 or even more.its my hone that they keep calling and wakeing me up . They leave mean mess. And will not stop. So what can i do. I do understand we all need to pay our bills but when you try and it is still not good enough then what ??? My son needs medical help and can not even get that so how can he pay something when he has nothing?????????? Help

Why, oh why couldn't I get a call from these Joker's. They'd be financing my next vacation!

Lots of good info there from consumers who have sued collection agencies. They can't send you to jail or any of this other BS.

Invest in a phone recorder, they come in really handy at court.

hi guys im new to the site. I just received a call form allied intersate. and I cannot express the level of verbal abuse they use to bully you.
About 4 months ago i tried that proactive solution for my skin. When I signed up they told me i can try it risk freem for 30 days and don't have to return the product(didn't even use it) well they told me nothing about my account, extreamly rude. and the first rep i was talkin to was cleary a indian lady, I know because i as well am Indian. after some threats and rude behavior i asked for her supervisor, ten mins later "the supervisor" came on which sounded exactly like her. And when i asked for her name she said it was Tiffany Ross. Take it from me Tiffany nor ross are indian names. When i called her out on it, this" so called" phone bully(creditors) was surprisingly quiet and just ignored the fact i proved her wrong. Now is the part that i am APPALLED by. I finally spoke to a "manager" and he asked me very rudely why i feel its ok to steal, calling me a thief (ironic huh?) and i told him i don't owe anything because i cancelled and my credit card was charged before the trial period. he then told me that it was only 45 dollars . I told him its not the money,I told him that my father was in accident causing him to become quadrapeligic. and rennovating the house, nurses,physical therapist are costing close to 120,000 and I cannot hold a job and watch my father at the same time.
what he said next shocked ...me!
He asked how old my father was and i said 62,He then and i quote" hopefully your father will DIE! soon so you wouldNT have to take care of him and you could hold a job!!! I didn't now know what to say maybe because i was choked up by his cruel comment,excuse my language but if i ever see that sorry excuse for a human being, I will not hesitate to break his ****** legs. Please Does anyone have a number i can reach the NY,NY location P.O. box 5023. Oh and any uncle is one the top lawyers in the country and he's looking into this. if andy of you guys need representation. my uncle would be happy to representive you free of charge.

Welcome to the forums.

These are the shocking experiences people are going through when dealing with Allied Interstate. If they call you next time, keep a track of all the phone calls along with dates and times on it. This will make your case stronger.

Many states allow recording the collection calls. If it is permissible in your state, get a recording device and attach it to your phone. Start recording the phone calls and inform them that you wish to present it to your lawyer.

I have gotten some of these calls too. Messages that I have to call them by noon or they will make a decision for me. after reading these posts, I believe it is probably my Avon bill.
Is it my best bet to get in contact with Avon about repayment instead of trying to deal with these people???

If your account is not sold to allied data, you can still make payments to Avon. You won't have to involve yourself with the collection agency. But if the debt is sold to them, then you won't be able work with your creditors. Please confirm the listing by pulling the latest credit report from the three bureaus.

They have been calling for my mother 2 and 3 times a day for months. I have told them over and over that she's not here before a certain time but that they could call back after that time and reach her. Yet, it continued, so I blew up at them. So, for over 2 weeks now, they have been calling 2 and 3 times a day and hanging up. I'm beyond pissed off.

Did you send a cease and desist to stop all the collection activities? This is your federal right that will put a stop to all such calls after they have received your letter.

Make sure that you send this letter through certified mail with return receipt requested. Besides, you might also be looking to file your complaints at the FTC, BBB and the attorney general office in your state.

A CA is legally allowed to report to the credit bureaus only if they are holding your debt genuinely. Otherwise, they are reporting in your file illegally and you have the right to dispute it.

Now, since the account has not been listed in collections in your file and they are making calls at your end, ask them to give you the debt validation. If they can give you the necessary info, you can consider making further payment arrangements. CA has the rights to report your accounts to the bureaus only if they are holding your accounts. If they have not done it till now, they can always do it later.

Let's assume that they are holding your debt legally. In such a case, do not let your accounts to be reported to collections by them. If this happens, a negative remark will be put in your file and it will hurt your credit in the long run. Settle the accounts as early as possible after they have validated the debt.

I just wanted to add---- I have been talking back and forth via voicemail basically to someone at this company, but she is never there when I call.
Anyway, I had a nasty message from her that she found it hard to believe that I couldn't find a pay phone or call her from work.
I was a little miffed at her. Not sure why I needed a pay phone.........I have a phone. She is just never there when I try to call her. And I work 2 part time jobs, neither of which are jobs where I am allowed to stop and make a personal phone call while at work. I told her these things already.
I was just quite annoyed at the way she spoke to me, and assumed that I needed to walk across town to get to a pay phone or something???
