I got home and had a message on my vm to call this number 800-275-7176 x602. I did, got someone on th ephone didn't hear her name because she talked low anyway I asked her what was this regarding and she said a bill I had with Avon. I told her I never sold Avon, don't buy Avon and don't like Avon. She asked me to hold on to talk to her supervisor. I waited for 5 minutes and a gentleman came on the telephone and asked me did I owe Avon - I told him the same thing I told the woman. He told me he would have the fraud department call me back within 48 hours but he said I would have to send a copy of my social security card and Drivers license. I asked him why would I do that if someone is trying to use my info the kicker to all of this is they have my social security number. I'm contacting the credit report bureaus immediately. I don't owe anyone any money so this is angering to me and Allied can kiss my a*&&. I'm horrified that they are still in business after reading all of this! UGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Avon said i owed them 350.00 i sent there merchandise back i got prove cause i tracked it on the computer and they recived it but i still had to pay any way Avon company is crooked company

i also have issues with this company. Though, thus far, none of mine have been threats. I'm just beginning to receive phone calls from these people. I'm doubting to pay this debts from reading the comments in within this site. Does anyone know wether or not if the money gets sents to these people, if it actullay gets applied to the debt or do they scam it and keep it?

It is sad that some people forget that sometimes in life things do not work out like they should, therefore there are alot of good people that have debt..I would really love to see how much debt the collectors owe themselves, or for that matter what their criminal records are obviously they are criminals exspecially when they admit to actually taking someone to the ground and STEALING their wallet.. truth be know he probably had the wrong person...lol

I have paid my debt in full to adc, and the calls have stopped however it has been months and they have not sent me my release. Can someone tell me how to get it.

I have to make this comment after reading so many of yours.I am a debt collector and know that this is not normal practice.I have been in debt and had to deal with these people over a $150 bill.This was not reported paid to my credit until 9 months later!This is illegal!Telling a collection agency to stop calling and take you off the list will do nothing!My suggestion is verify wrong address and party and the calls should stop.If it does not report them!You can get money out of the deal.They are breaking FDCPA laws.

Call the company if you want to get a release saying your CBR has been notified they have to send it or fax you immedietly.I belive it's not supposed to take over 60 days.

I owe nothing to anyone and I get these calls daily. I reported Allied Data with the BBB in SC who in return forwarded my complaint to the BBB in Houston Texas. I am also in the process of filing a complaint with the State Attorneys Office. This sounds like a great class action lawsuit to get these people shut down.

Well I have been contacted twice by allied data corporation. And I have had similiar experences as you all have had. I think that it is time for someone to take action. I have talked to a lawyer and if anyone is interested please contact me A.S.A.P.

I am so glad I found this site. I received a call from Avon about a month ago with the same type of harassing message. They said that I owe money, and then asked me to give them my address and full name to "so call" verify what is in the records/account that they had. When I refused and told them that I never sold Avon, they then said that I had until 12n to have an attorney call them. Of course I was upset and scared because I did not live in the city that they said I did and when I refused to offer personal information, they then said that the mail was being sent to my mothers address and that she was aware. Wrong once again! when I then received a third message, I called them back and said I want to see not only receipts of the delivery from UPS but copies of the products orders with my name signed at the bottom along with the dates they were ordered. I NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN! I am not sure how I found this site but am blessed that I did, everyone please be careful giving out information on just a phone call. Be blessed!

So I just got the call that I should call my attorney and call them back by 6pm. I don't have attorney (Can't afford one), I do have outstanding debt due to sick child and loss of pay. what kind of action do they take? and why do you need an attorney? I'm a little scared. How do I handle this?

First of all shit happens, people who cant pay their bills dont just up and say one day that they decided to get theirselves in debt, thats the last thing we want, and i wish you would...talking about Hammer...try to take something from me, you cant get blood out of a turnip, and people have other shit to worry about than to worry about a couple hundred dollars ok, so stop with the threats it doesnt work, cause if it did then wouldnt anyone be in debt dont ya think? And besides whats the worst that could happen, not jail time, bad credit, i think i can live with that

I didn't even know who they were so I didn't answer they left a message about I needed to have my attorney contact them. After reading this maybe it is an avon thing I "owe" them 10.00 when a "friend" asked me if she could sign me up so she could get her recruits for the month and said she would pay the 10.00. Anyway the lady left a message and I couldn't even understand her. But she was yelling on my machine.
