Karla your right!! They told me they are an attorneys office. The only way I could track who they were was through the better business bureau. They also tell you they can garnish your wages because they are an attorneys office. I look on their website and it goes on and on about truthfull approach and helping people. The female I spoke to wasnt helpful, nice and she lied about where she was from!!!

Hiding identity is punishable when it comes to debt collection especially. You can record the conversation using the tool offered by this site and make it public. Make sure you check state laws about conversation recording-

Also file complaint with BBB, FTC and Attorney General if you find any violation of fdcpa.

Why do you all continue to do this? You are all freaked out because you were contacted by a company collecting money that you owe. And because they hurt your feelings you decide you shouldn't pay them. Grow up, welcome to the real world!

Guest your comments are a bit harsh. I for one "hid" from my debts for a long time. I figured they'd just go away. I avoided the collectors calls which I am sure is frustrating to them. Now I am facing them and the debt. I am NOT a bad person, but made terrible decisions. However I am choosing to pay one of my creditors off in spite of being way overcharged for 2 years on a 200 loan because the amount they want is next to nothing and they were INCREDIBLY professional in their approach with me. I am considering it an expensive lesson learned. Another company who says I owe them about the same amount have harrassed me and been rude. I intend to force the second ones to validate the debt before I intend to send them a thing. I believe both debts to have been paid a LONG time ago, but will respond better to professionalism than theats. What your mother and grandmother and teacher always say You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar. Also the first creditor was informed by me that I considered the debt to have been charged way too long, but he still did not resort to threats. That was when I just decided to pay them and go on. No pressure on their part just a what do I want to do.

Amsher is full of shit. I did my best to work with them and when I found myself unable to make a payment. I called them to re-schedule for another date because I didn't have to funds available for other reasons. I talked to the manager and he said oh well they were goning to process my payment and I will have to deal with a insufficient funds with my bank and on top of that the manager at Amsher got an attitude and hung up on me. I called back to speak with the manager, but of course he was unavailable and the representative I was speaking to told me if I wasn't buying a house or a car then I had no reason to cancel my payment and re-schedule for another date. Basically Amsher did not want to hear anything I had to say they are to process funds through my bank account that are not even there, and they told me I need to find a way to come up with the money. I don't care who you are you don't talk to anyone like that especially if you unable to make a payment and try to work another payment for a different date. NOW I'M MAD. For those of you whose saying boo hoo, get over it. Number 1 you either work for Amsher yourself and your feelings are hurt or number 2 you've never been a situation like this to understand what the f**k is really going on. When someone is trying to work with you, you don't go there with anyone. Now they've f***ed up, because I've done my research and I have more than enough information to file a complaint and now I'm really not working with them to pay anything. Say what you want but I don't give a shit.

American Family Care sent my account to AMSher over $115 that they say my insurance did not cover. I'm sorry, getting my blood pressure checked and height and weight documented on a school form was not worth turning me over to a collection agency. It should have been filed on my insurance and then I should have been contacted if there was a problem. Amsher was very rude!!!
