Have a safe and fun holiday weekend everybody. I will be home planting flowers and spending quality time with my 4-legged kids. If I need to go anywhere I will be riding my pedal bike

I know I am not on here very much right now, but do want to wish everyone a wondeful holiday. I agree with Froggie, remember what the reason is for the holiday.
I know we are going to be missing my son this year and it will not be the same without him here. I have talked to him tonight and he is doing well, just a little bored right now. When I have a little more time, I will post an update on him and what has been going on with me. I try to get on once in a while to try to read and stay caught up on things, but dang, I am so far behind.....Oh froggie, glad to see you staying!!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!
Remember all those lost in defending our freedom, and those who continue to do so. FREEDOM ISN'T FREE! It comes at a high cost.
We will be staying close to home, since gas is now $4.19 for regular. Every penny I have is needed for gas just to get to work this week - and I'm thankful for the day off tomorrow, since I won't have to drive to work!
Oldest is off on a "guys weekend", so the youngest and I will maybe have a picnic and go fishing.

I also want to wish all a safe and blessed holiday weekend many members here are such wonderful people...and I just hope and pray with all my heart we will get these mostly kids back home as soon as possible..and because of gas prices..
as far as staying close to home..from what I have seen ..so many people who ventured out returned early...my middle son and 25 friends for past 4 years have tradition to go this weekend on a quest for "golden trout" big hiking trip and venture..I am always so worried because I can not talk to him ..cell phone not receptive in mountains..this morning he came home early and is safe in bed....yet hubby and brother left this afternoon to Minnesota to pick up new race car frame ...last words..told them to buckle up and "go with God"...I HATE for them to be on road on busy holiday weekend when weather in this region is so terrible..but it is what it is..whatever happens is meant to be..happy holiday to all members here!!!! Memorial day to me is now kind of different..I used to think of old veterans..on Memorial Day..now I think of children sacrificing their lives for our country in a seemingly never ending war..
