I have 6 PDLs that are license storefront businesses. How can I find out if they are members of the CFSA? Also, do I have to still pay the premium if I have over paid the principle from the interest/fees I pay every two weeks?
The companies I am dealing with are:
1. Paycheck Adv-Short Term Loans - Borrowed $450 - Paid $860
2. (Check Advance) Valued Services of Anozira - Borrowed $400 -Paid $430.
3. Ace Cash Express - Borrowed $500 - Paid $640
4. (Check N Go) Southwestern & Pacific Specialty Finance - Borrowed $500 - Paid $880
5. (Advance America) Cash Advance Centers of Arizona - Borrwowed $500 - Paid $985
6. Pay Day Loan Store of Arizona - Borrowed $400 - Paid $440
All stores are licensed in Arizona.
Also, have you ever heard of a PDL settlement company called PDL Assistance? They are proposing to settle all my accounts for 70% of what I owe but their fee is 30% of my total loans.

Hello tharrison and welcome to the forum. It looks like your first loan [Paycheck Adv] is an installment type of loan, so the payday loan laws would not apply to that one.
| Code: | (Check N Go) Southwestern & Pacific Specialty Finance - Borrowed $500 - Paid $880

Wow, if that's a payday loan company, looks over paid to me. Though it does state it's a "Specialty" finance, so that makes me wonder. Refer to the loan aggreement.
| Code: | | (Advance America) Cash Advance Centers of Arizona - Borrwowed $500 - Paid $985 |
Is this an installment loan? If it's a payday loan, it also looks overpaid.

The only two I can be certain of are Advance America and Check n Go. They are both members of the CFSA, and you are entitled to set-up an extended payment plan with them.
Ace Cash Express is a member of FISCA, only I don't know as much about that as I do CFSA. Maybe someone else here does.

What gets me is that her/his state does not allow for more than one Payday loan at a time and this poor soul has 6!. That right there is ground to fight back. Use it that way. Fight this, you and whoever you enlist.

It seems to be all too uncommon, actually. My state only allows 1 outstanding PDL at a time, and yet at one point I had 6 storefronts out at once. For the past 3 years I had about 4 storefront loans at a time every payday.
