My friend you need to try the information the other person posted and find the company before it hits your credit report. If it hits your report that will be a collection account and thats not good.

I just spoke to Katie at Arrowhead, and she was kind, courteous and settleed my debt with no fuss. I was pleasantly surprised!

boochie-There is no debtors prison....and you cannot be tossed in jail for defaulting on a pdl.

However, the PDL's will threaten you with jail, etc...

Absolutely NOT!!!!! This is a very common SCARE tatic that collector's use to get you to pay, and it is illegal for them to threaten you this way!!!

A collector CAN and WILL sue you; which could lead to wage garnishment.

Kelly-The question was specific to pdls....and with regard to law suits, lets exercise caution before we use words like Can and Will.

Thanks!!

How long can arrowhead investments keep taking $60 out of my account? I am having a hard time paying them off and every 2 weeks they take Their fee out. Is there a limit as to how long they can keep doing this or can they keep it up until I pay it off?

What state do you live in and how long have you had this loan out? They are going to continue to take money out of your account until you stop it from happening. Let me know what state you live in so we can look up your state's laws regarding payday loans.

Sounds like you received a call from one of the nasty collection agency's. Did you have a loan out with arrowhead investments?

You need to find the laws governing payday loans that are specific to your state. Search for payday loan consumer info. The website will allow you to pick your state and give you your states laws. Then you need to file a complaint with the FTC and also the attorney general in your state. I live in Ca and rollover extension payments are not allowed. Dont let them bully you either. They get pretty nasty when you tell them they have to abide by the state laws in your state. I want to thank everyone on this site for giving me the info that I needed.

I appreciate so much the number for the Arrowhead advance service. This is the only info I have found on that company. They answered the phone- JL Associates or something like that. I couldn't figure out why I was constantly overdrawn and the woman told me on the phone they would just keep "exteneding the loan" to the tune of an additional $90.00 until you tell them to stop - but how do you find them? I closed my bank account and stopped my direct deposit because of this scam, be aware of this and other payday loans out there. Post date a check to family if at all possible but aviod this company at all costs!

Stay away from this company. I sent specific instructions per their guidelines to pay my loan in full on na certain date. They debited my account earler and needless to say sent me into the red. checks bounced everywhere. I have called their numbers and when finally did get a human was directed to another number. Their mailing address is at a mailboxes etc. I feel that they owe me for the NSF Fees. I'll be contacting the state atty generals in my home state and in delaware where the mailbox is located.

I also borrowed money from a payday loan and this name showed up on my statement. I also have ben the subject of fraud with the Geneva Roth company that I never had any business dealings with. My bank seems to have a hard time stopping the debits even though I filled out paperwork to have it stopped.
