My bank returned a check to WalMart because it got back the day before I got paid. They sent the check back thru 3 days later and it was covered, but now telecheck has blackballed me so I can't write a check anywhere. How do I get so I can give checks again?

I think it will be better to contact the customer care department of telecheck. They may be able to help you out.

Same exact thing happened to me. I was wondering if there is any recourse? For the longest time I stopped writing checks for this very reason.

Call TeleCheck although they can decline based on "risk". They don't actually have to have a bad check on file. Just the fact that it took twice to go through ups your risk.

I was unable to cash checks at two places..and have an excellent credit history..I wrote to Telecheck..and still haven't heard from them..did anyone else have this problem? Also...they refused to even tell me the problem..other than asking me if I had more than one bank account at my bank and produce all kinds of evidence..I wrote and said I wasn't guilty...they were! I even had the Bank Manager write to them telling them that I only had one.. How do I correct this problem...I can't use my Debit Card or write checks because of them!

When I wrote to them I received my report within two weeks. Did you send the identity verification they require? To verify your identity, with your request please include:
(1) a daytime contact phone number
(2) a copy of your driver’s license
(3) your social security number
(4) a voided check
(5) a copy of a tax or utility bill reflecting your current address
