My checking account was recently closed by Citi and my chexsystem report does not show any negative reports. However, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before Citi gives me a negative report. I opened new checking accounts with Commerce Bank and Bank of America? I know that BOA would likely not close the account but how about Commerce?

Do they do a check after they have opened an account? I would think if the account is already opened then you don't have anything to worry about as long as you keep it in good standing. goodluck and let us know if there is a status change in the account because of a report later.

They don't roll that way so to speak at Commerce, I loved them when I had them (it was a few years ago and they technically were not even using Chex at the time), however they're better than Bank of America (who I unlike a lot of folks do like), did you get your debit card printed right there in the branch?
Anyway you're just fine, they're such a great bank and so obviously convenient..
I wouldn't worry about it
