Where can I find out how much can be legally charged
for NSF fees in the State of Michigan?

dj - who is trying to charge you an NSF fee? Is it a payday lender, a bank, or a store?

My apartment complex. I thought that there had to
be a limit or businesses/companies can charge you
whatever.

What are they charging you, DJ? They can pretty much charge anything they want, but if it goes to court, the judge would reduce it to a certain amount allowed by the state.
Unfortunately, the state doesn't keep a close eye on this - you'll find everything from $15 to $50 posted in stores and such regarding NSF checks.
