What conveniences are offered? Is it safe, or will other people get access to your accounts? How does the bank guarantee that your financial and personal information is secure? What are the different services offered, and the requirements needed to obtain the privilege of on-line banking over the Internet? Also, please explain which feature you personally find the best. Is there a bank you would prefer over others? Why?

I love bill pay! I can even pay my landlord.

I personally wouldn't go for a completely internet bank. If you have to mail in a check it could take 7-10 days to get there if they will not accept it through an atm. Not to mention another 7-10 days (If it's an out of state check). If you ever have a problem (Like Illegal payday lenders), it's kind of hard to explain over the phone that you want a bank freeze/hold on your account. I like having the option to go into the bank where the branch manager may actually know what's going on verses a rep on the phone where you will get 10 different answers.

Online banking is completely safe, provided you keep your user id and password only with you and in safe custody.
When you bank online, you are directed to your account though https (http secure) url which is completely safe, but if you disclose your password to anybody, the banks does not take guarantee of your transactions.

i do think online banking is safe, but i personally would rather have a bank with a close physical location, so i can make deposits, cash checks, in person.

Personally, I love online banking. Mostly it saves me from having to go into the actual bank to move money around and/or order checks. I have several bank accounts with Bank of America (2 personal, and 2 joint account with my hubby) and it's so much easier to do things online. I like that I can move money from my personal checking account into my joint account, so money from my personal savings into my joint savings, things like that. I can also order new checks, or a new debit card through online banking. Also, a lot of banks have online bill pay, so you can stop using checks or cash to pay certain bills. It's all very convenient for me.

I like online banking because you can see your balances instantly and do online bill pay. I wouldn't use a completely online bank, though, because I do like to go directly into a bank so that I can make deposits and things like that.
