Sub: #1 125k settlement looking to open a account

I have a question I am about to receive a large settlement check for around 125k I don't have a bank account can i open a account with the settlement check at any bank of my choosing.

It will be better if you could open the bank account before receiving the settlement check. You can contact any local bank and fill out the required forms in order to open a bank account with them.
