How do I find out if I have been reported to ChexSystems? I want to open a checking account but want to find that out first.

yes, you are entitled on one free report a year or if you have been turned down. waiting on my report to come in the mail.

If you recently found yourself being turned down for an account at a bank or credit union, you might be asking what is chexsystems and what is a chexsystems report.
Chexsystems provides deposit account verification services to its financial institution members to aid them in identifying account applicants who may have a history of account mishandling (for example, people whose accounts were overdrawn and then closed by their bank). Chexsystems is a CRA governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other laws.
Under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA) amendments to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you are entitled to a free copy of your consumer report, at your request, once every 12-months.
It is very important to know exactly what is reported on your chexsystems report. The reason it is important to know what is on your report is because it may determine what options are available to you when you begin to look for an account, or file a dispute.

i went online and requested a free copy of my chexsystems report and got it today. would you believe that payday loan inquiries are on it. here is a list:
DPL financial services

I guess they check on chexsystems because they are accepting checks as a form of payment
