Default US Bank and chexsystem

I am not sure whether or not my husband and I are on chexsystem. We went and just opened a free checking account with US Bank but did not order checks bc we are going to be moving from the State where we live right now and I wanted to wait until we would see where we will end up living at. Anyways, at the end of February my husband and I went and closed our checking acct with Wellsfargo because we were going to file a bankrputcy and we had our mortgage wiht them. Well long story short, we closed the acct but Wellsfargo never actually closed it and they allowed the loan department to slip the second mortgage through the account where there were no funds in, that puts our accounts in the negative for $651.88. WF called me over and over and over and I explained them over and over and over what happened, of course, they NEVER fixed it, they continued too try and collect the money from us until one day I finally had it and yelled at them on the phone and told them that I DID NOT owe them jack squat!!! They were the ones who overdrew the acct, NOT ME!!!, such acct was ordered to be closed BY ME!!! they just didn't, well because they never fixed the problem I had my atty include the $651.88 in the bankruptcy petition because I don't feel I should pay them anything. I opened the US Bank acct and it has been a little under two weeks, I just got my debit cards and so far so good, Do you know if US Bank do random checks on their new accts? What do you think is the likelihood that they will close my acct at this point?

US Bank uses a system that automatically checks chexsystems when they submit the request to open the account. If it's been this long and you got your debit card already then you are defiantly okay.

Default Dispute Dispute Dispute!

Order your chexsystems report at consumerdebit.com and see what's under "reported information." The goal is for this section to say "no information found." If there are one or more entries, dispute them with chexsystems using the from. Also write to the reporting bank, demanding they furnish you with evidence. They both have 30 days (21 in Maine) in which to validate the reported information - or else they must be removed by law. Usually, they can't. So you win and you get a new clean report.

Once you have opened an account at US bank, they will not close it. It is not like some of the other big banks that are known for closing accounts

I think US Bank sucks. They rarely reverse fees and their fees are outrageous. My account went negative and I asked the bank to freeze the account or close it, they did neither. I was zapped with a $29 with every attempted ACH and charged a $9 a day neg balance fee. They did not want to listen to me nor show any compassion.

Default fees

The fees are now 35.00 for US bank for an NSF. Most banks will not close an account immediately upon request anymore. They make you wait generally 30 days to make sure nothing else comes through on the account.

Get off the good news bitches... So many people do searches for banks that give a normal checkng account to us fu@k-ups on chexsystems looking for a decent bank and cannot because someone wants to advertise and sell so much worthless info everywhere.

I am in san bernadino county, california. I tried to fill out for a checking account for usbank online but was denied. 1 month later was shopping at my local grocery store where a usbank branch was and had a sign stating: "chex systems okay"

do not try online or in the branch. Must be instore.

If anyone gets one, help others too by posting it.

If fraud is indicated on your report, they will deny you at ALL branches.

I just got approved online with US Bank for individual checking accounts and joint acct with my husband. We are both on Chexsystems. It says on online app that they will check chexsystems during app. Do you think they will close the account later? i have tried other online apps with other banks and been declined. I hope US Bank stays open.

Default approval

yes it will stay open. Once US Bank opens, I have never ever heard of them closing an account later. How old are your reports? Are they 3 years old or older?
