So today I was talking with a child support attorney. I am owed 37702 in back child support. When I mentioned that I am filing BK he had said that they can take my back support. Can anyone tell me how much the trustees can take of it? I have no exemptions well no cars nothing of BIG value.

well yesterday I spok eto the para legal and she then told me what they dont know wont hurt em... I find that wrong. It is the Goverment. HMMM HELP!!!!

Yeah - Lying to the courts could get you put in jail! I remember a huge sign on the wall at my meeting of creditors that said it's a federal crime to hide assets, and you will do jail time if caught.

so then that still leaves my question about How mucch assests can I have with out them taking it? I mean I may not get paid on my back child support for years!!!!

You'd probably be best advised to ask a lawyer - I would think since the money isn't really yours (you don't physically have the money) that it wouldn't be taken into account.

well the attorney that I got for child support or I was going to retain for it said that they can take up to so much. I can have so much in assests well this is the only assest that I have. So then I thought well if they are going to take so much then I might as well retain him cause he works if I get my back suppor then he gets paid. Therefore 45 percent of that money is already taken. Gosh this is soo difficult
