My husband and I are considering filing for Bankruptcy. We are well below the means test and just can not afford our bills since my husband lost his job and is now underemployed. We've tried for the past year and can not keep up. I actually filed as an individual in 2001 so we will have to wait a couple of months to do it.
I figure this is the perfect time to research and start working on the paperwork. We have no assets so this should be pretty simple.
I guess I'm looking for tips, tricks, advice, websites, personal experience, anything that you can share.

Most book stores have DIY guides for filing bankruptcy. One of these books should be a good, comprehensive source of information. You can also search Amazon.com... I found this one (not yet released):

It is possible to file without an attorney, but not recommended, especially if you have a home, assets, etc. to be considered.
It's definitely an "at your own risk" thing to do, just my $0.02.

I would recommend getting an attorney also, but if you can't afford one, "Nolo" publishes some really good "do it yourself" legal books. You can find them on-line or at any book seller like Barnes and Noble or Walden Books. Good Luck
