Thanks, Desperately! Actually, AAA has finally informed me that they are accepting full liability, so now it's just a matter of getting the car in there and getting the repairs done.

Alias, don't forget about the rental car! You are entitled to one while your vehicle is in the shop. If you have a truck or van or other larger vehicle and NEED to utilize that type of vehicle (have dogs, need to cart kids or merchandise around, etc), you are entitled to it. You should get "like kind and quality" and should not be inconvenienced more than necessary by this accident. You should not profit, but you should also not be put in a "lesser" position due to someone elses negligence. Unless the vehicle you have is a Geo Metro or other similar tiny subcompact, you are not expected to be stuck in one while your vehicle is being repaired. Of course, a Geo Metro gets AWESOME mileage, so that isn't necessarily a bad thing!

good luck and glad to hear it is going well. AAA is a good company and they should take good care of you.

Thanks, smo! Yes, AAA has already said that they will cover a rental car. The one that got hit actually is a small car (Honda Prelude), so they'll cover something comparable, but that's ok. When we need something bigger, we drive my husband's work truck. Otherwise, for normal driving, we go for the better gas mileage!
