will it cost me more to file for bankruptcy because of having more credit cards?

No. The court filing fees are the same regardless of the number of things you file on. Each attorney will have his own rate for a chapter 7 or 13.

i'm not late with payments on mortgage bought the house 1 1/2 years ago , only have about 1500 in equitiy , will i be able to keep house if i file chapter 7 or 13

You will have to check your state exemptions but you will probably be ok.
