My chapter 7 was discharged 1 year ago , a house that was included in bk was suppose to sheriff sold but was delayed by mortgage co. 4 times now im told by the sheriffs office it was taken off the sale list by the mortage co. how long can this go on ? and because it was included in bk can i be accountable for any more money? and why would they delay the process ? now today i got a letter in the mail from the VA" Verteran " stating that im behind on mortgage , daaa i havent paid on mortgage in two years . seems really late in process to get this letter.

1) Unfortunately, the lender can postpone the foreclosure indefinitely. Nothing you can do about it.

2) The only debt you must deal with is on-going HOA dues/fees/assessments, if you have a HOA. You must continue to pay the HOA until the foreclosure is complete. Everything else was discharged.

3) The VA has violated your discharge. Contact the VA and supply a copy of your discharge. Tell the VA if you get another collection letter you will ask the bk court to hold it in contempt.
