I am taking a pre-counseling credit class so I can file bankruptcy. My question is this, if I am a roommate with my ex-wife and pay her a certain amount each month, when I list the rent payment,it is the entire rent payment for the month or just my portion.

You should list what you youself pay for rent each month.

hi hope99! are you filing for bankruptcy alone or together with your ex-wife? if you two are filing for it together then you need to list your joint expenditures. even if you are filing alone, then too i think you need to mention the amount you are paying towards your wife's rent, because that too is an expenditure that you have had to bear, right? but i think you will need to submit the relevant papers or a consent letter from your wife supporting this payment. some one more knowledgeable than me should be here around soon.
