Biehl & Biehl is a collection agency used by the Chicago Tribune. Evidently, Biehl & Biehl and the Tribune do not communicate well and over a month after I paid my bill to the Tribune and assurances from the Tribune consumer services, Biehl & Biehl was still calling me at work and at home.
George Lowe from Biehl & Biehl is particularly unpleasant.

I've been called several times by Biehl and Biehl. They claim
I owe the Orlando Sentinel money ($14.00). I do not subscribe to the Sentinel. Biehl and Biehl refuses to produce a contract or even an invoice! I'm going to bill Biehl and Biehl for my time fixing the Orlando Sentimel's mistakes.

Does Biehl and Beihl report the debt collections to your credit report? I am about to refinance my home and REALLY need to have a clean credit report.

I canceled my subscription to the Daily Herald and they apparently never canceled it because now it's in collections. The account balance is 13 dollars! I didn't even know people would collect for this amount.

Got a bill in the mail for $13.31 from Biehl and Biehl, INC. I called and spoke to one of the representatives and advised them that I never signed up for the local newspaper. She told me that the bill was mine and that I need to pay it. I am more than angry. She was extremely rude. After hanging up and calling back to speak with a supervisor. I was put on hold and was asked to leave a message. No live person. I will wait to hear back..if not....they will get an ear full.

Got a bill from Biehl & Biehl for $560. The original bill was from the San Antonio Express News for an advertisement. I called the newspaper and they were kind enough to admit that their accounting department had made a mistake. I then called Ben Devine of Biehl & Biehl to let him know that it was cleared up. This collector yelled at me because of the time that he had wasted trying to collect a debt from me. He refused to call The Express News as he said it was not his job, he was only here to collect the money from me. I understand that they have a job to do, but I don't think being rude to customers is part of their job description. I called his manager and have not heard back from Biehl & Biehl.

I got a call today from Biehl & Biehl on a debt that was not mine but my ex-wives. They were extremely rude and didn't seem to care that the bill was not mine. They made up all kinds of excuses why I owed the bill. They only wanted to collect, so they get their fee. They did not care that the right person gets reported to collection. They were very, very rude. I wish there was a way to put the stop to their rudeness.

I too have had a very annoying experience with Biehl and Biehl over a $24 dollar bill owed to the Chicago Tribune -- they proceeded to tell me three times over the phone that the credit card I gave them was denied, and, each time they had the numbers copied down wrong. I finally got disgusted and called the Tribune directly and paid my bill in June. I am still getting calls from them and it is October. I have faxed them my credit card statement, and, I just called the Tribune to complain.

This company is sending me a bill for Star Tribune for $11.88. I called Star Trubine and the automated system tells me that they indeed received the check for $40.80 I sent 83 days ago to renew my subscription. Interesting that Biehl and Biehl are asking me to send THEM a check for an amount I never owed.

Today I received a phone call from Biehl and Biehl. When I tried to explain why I was not going to pay for NEWSDAY he said that unless I paid they were contacting the credit bureau. When I offered an explanation, the caller was RUDE beyond belief, and hung up. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau against this company, and I am suggeting that all others who come to this board do the same. How dare they conduct themelves in this manner!!! So PLEASE write the BETTER BUSINESS Bureau and lodge a complaint against this company. Than maybe companies who are thinking of using them will stay away from them
