Bam Bam		 If you settle it, it will stay on your report. Don't settle without removal. Secondly, visit www.oskie.com this guy is great, he has a "debt validation" letter you can submit and if this company cannot verify every bit of information they furnished to the credit bureau they must remove it. Plus, while it's being disputed they must remove it. But, they can put it back on if they verify everything. Many times a collection agency buys an account but cannot provide all the necessary paperwork provided under the FDCPA. You might get lucky. Try it out. It's a simply letter you can mail with delivery confirmation that only costs .69 cents.
