I wasn't on yesterday, and getting ready to get off now, but I need your prayers. I had to put my mom back in the hospital again. Last Oct., the pharmacy gave her the wrong dose of medicine, she had a heart attack, and it has gone downhill from there. She settled with the pharmacy-they got off really,really easy.
She has had 2 more heart attacks, had a pacemaker/defibrillator, has congestive heart failure, and has about 18% of her heart working. She had alot of fluid in her lungs and around her heart, and they are trying to take it iff now.
I am running between the hospital, taking care of my son that is disabled, and my sis-in-law who had a stoke and just got out of the hospital-need your prayers!!
They changed my moms' room- the other lady was yelling for Jesus to take her home, or the Devil to do it

Karen - my prayers are with you. I am going through similar situation where you just feel like you can't get a breath before something else happens. Hang in there and I am thinking about your mom.

Karen, I, too, am sorry to hear about all of this. How terrible for you and your entire family. I will be asking God to watch over you, your mom, and the rest of your family. May only good things come to you.

Thank all of you so much!! I knew I could count on my "family"! Mom was feeling a little better yesterday, I think. But she called at the crack of dawn, and I am trying to gulp down alot of coffee and go to the hospital to see what the problem is. Her blood pressure won't come up and is way too low, I don't know what she thinks I can do, but I am off to the hospital I din't get to bed until 2am, so I am goofed out myself They are still running tests on my sis-inlaw at another hospital-geeze- I am soooo sick of hospitals!! Thanks for all your prayers and kind words..I love you all and will keep you posted..Karen

You are in my thoughts. Not to seem greedy or heartless, but if I were you I'd consult with an attorney. I have a couple of friends who are nurses (and twins). They were so short-handed at the hopital were they worked that instead of having, say, five patients per nurse there were twelve!! This led to many mistakes and unfit working conditions for them. I'm currently helping to prepare litigation for them. If you are in California contact my myspace page.
I know how you are feeling. I've spent a great deal of time visiting hospitals in the past three yrears. Times like these can take a great toll on family members.
