No they cannot yell at you and they have no right to contact your HR. Is this for a Payday loan? Did you sign a voluntary wage assignment?

Yes, CAC employees are very rude and disrespectful. You can tell them not to call you at work and they are not allowed to call again. You can actually tell them not to contact you ever again and they cannot. However, by doing this, you open yourself up for a civil lawsuit. I have had 'Ms. Hamilton' call me at work and she told me I had 24 hrs to pay $1000. I said, "or what? are you gonna come take my kid?" (it was for a medical bill for my child). I also told her she doesn't need to be calling me being rude and I was really surprised that next time she called, she was alot nicer. I am going to try to deal directly with the hospital.

You need to tell them that! We are a forum. You don't owe us anything.

I have a question.... I know I owe GE Money Bank about 8 G for a regional department store chain. I had a hardship settlement, which they told me on the phone would
last until the debt was paid off. Stupidly I missed a few payments (it was an oversight on my part), but called them and got them to re-settle for $209.00 a month. Suddenly.
last week a "Mr. Madison" called and left a message for both me and my roommate, who was not on the account as a Joint member. I returned his call, and he says that the hardship agreement had expired. My roommate was about 6 feet away from me and Mr. Madison heard him talking to me. He almost demanded to speak to him. When he told him he had no account with the store in question, I guess mr. madison threatened a lawsuit, and my roommate said go ahead. He then gave me the phone and mr. madison asked me if that was my position as well. I told him yes, he said that was all he wanted to know. My question is, I am continuing to pay GEMB, which continues to accept payment (they have not said to cease paying them, nor have they refused any payment). I pay them via BillPay through my bank, which does it by electronic transfer (not a paper check). Should I continue to pay GEMB, or do I HAVE to deal with the CAC bastards? Thank you.

I'm not for positive, but I think as long as your making payment, they can't do anything to you.

that's not true.while with legit creditors it will look favorable if it goes to court.with bottomfeeders they won't do squat anyway so if they can't properly validate they get bupkis.
