Did you check the CRSI in the Houston BBB website? It has a long list of phone numbers out there.

I saw their website but I sent the letter Monday via certified mail. I haven't heard from them since Friday so we'll see what happens.

I just got off the phone with David Noble and Ron Corral at CRS. Ron Corral played good agent, while David Noble screamed at me, called me an idiot, refused to give me an address, refused to verify my debt, threatened me with a lawsuit, told me the marshall would be coming to my door to get me, and so on. He claimed to be an attorney (although, by the way he spoke, I doubt he has any kind of education at all), and he told me I'd better start looking for an attorney as well. He also told me that they were connected with the law offices of Louis Vasquez. The problem is, they won't let me make any payment arrangments. They either want payment in full or four payments of $350 within twelve hours to be paid within two weeks. Do I need to be frightened? Are they really going to sue me? I did report them to the FTC, for I know they are violating fdcpa regulations. Now I plan to send a certified letter--the validation one--but is there anything else I can do?

First of all, they did away with debtors prison! I would send the debt validation as you said, and also send a cease and desist letter that all communication be via mail. These idiots, and others like them, will not talk in a civil manner,so it's best to do it through the mail. Make sure your debt is validated,is correct in the amount, etc.,before you agree to pay them. Sometimes they do not have a legal claim to be collecting the debt,so you want to be sure of all the facts first.Keep us posted, any other questions, feel free to ask....Karen

Thank you Anthony. The phone numbers I came up with are 713-464-8322 also 713-464-4449. But the address I got on my credit report is different than on the web site. I think I got a great forgery charge on a con-artist and a guy who was in prison for 7 years. If they will work with me.

I would like to thank Mr. John Davis of certified recovery systems. I finally got to talk to him and he looked at the lease from the apt. complex and found that I was not on it. He called the credit company and told them that I was not on the lease. My credit should be restored. Thank you Mr. Davis

I am having the hardest time with this company. This account was established by a fraudulent person from the internet, with only a SSN and a non-residential address. The money was posted to an account that did not match my name and did not require a signature or telephonic voice verification. I disputed this account in 2005, faxed all of the supporting documents needed and the company agreed not to contact me anymore based off of the proof I provided. What they didn't tell me was they were selling my account to a sister company and today I'm still fighting the same account from 2005. Today I filed a police report in the local town (just a standard form-no bells and whistles). It's time consuming and frustrating to deal with fraud, identify theft and fighting a war all in the same week. I’m looking for a good attorney to settle this issue so my family and I can move on with our lives. Break- This is the Husband and father of the family and I am here to say that it is important to periodically check your credit report, because had it not been for the fact that me and my wife were refinancing our home it may have been another two years before we found out that this ring of collection agency circumventing would still be affecting our credit report and everything else that we hold dear in our lives. We are taking legal action even if this requires taking out a loan from a CREDITED INSTITUTION we will not pay this judgment period. We are two Soldiers in the United States Army that go to work everyday to fight for freedom and the very people that we protect are not protecting us. This feels like a stab in the back that we have to deal with this type treatment. Please comment if anyone is having similar problems and interest in pursuing with this law suit, we feel a lot better now that we have told our story.[/list]

Does anyone know about CRS? I was called about 1 1/2 years ago at work and told that my file was being downloaded and I would be arrested if I didn 't pay a payday loan. I called my father and he did a check over the phone for over 800$. Now they are calling again saying the same thing but sayig they are with a law firm. I told them I already paid but they say there is no record of my payment. They won't send me any information on the account because of legal reasons. I am freaking out my husband says to not worry what should I do?
