Who followed their budget? Very Happy

Who broke the bank? Cool

Personally, I have a whole whopping 30 bucks to last me for the week. Not too much worse than any other week! Laughing

Thanks to my employer's foresight and kindness, I have the following to enjoy this week:

-a whole week off, paid
-TWO paychecks were deposited last week (don't get one this week, but I can deal with that!)
-and my sick co-workers have time to recover before they make me sick again!

I didn't break the bank, since I had 2 paychecks to use for Christmas and bill paying. When I was looking at only having one, it was looking pretty glum, but having 2 definitely brightened things up. My kids were happy with all they received (not so much from me, but their dad and his girlfriend went overboard as usual, so at least there's that), and we had a wonderful Christmas.

I didn't break the bank, but I came pretty darn close. Thankfully, Friday is payday, and my employer gives us the week between Christmas and New Year's off paid.

This year was good! I was blessed by an unexpected source, so now I can finally breath! But I will tell you, it has been hand to mouth for a LONG time!! You just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other and do what you have to do, and trust God is taking care of you. It reads easy, and works hard, I know, but that was all I could do. Thank God for this forum. It has helped me be able to pay off last pdl, credit cards, and become not only debt educated, but change some of the things I had been doing, like not budgeting or following it. Best of Luck and God bless..KAren Very Happy Very Happy

HMMM..I don't think demanding anything is ever a good idea, but that's just me.

Did I detect some sarcasm when you said my stand mixer was hot?? LOL...Maybe he'll get some pots and pans for my birthday..Kitchen Aid..Red, of course.

Nope, I'm holding out for something sparkly that I can wear.

Ashley,

Don't cry. Instead, do as Karen says, put one foot in front of the other and do what you have to do. Thank your lucky stars that you had the Christmas bonus to fall back on - not something you had planned to use it for but I'm sure came in very handy. Better luck to both of us next year!
