I have a letter from Client Services, Inc. for a cc debt the address reads:
3451 Harry Truman BLVD St Charles, MO 63301-4047 Phone # 636-947-2321 or 800-521-3236 then lists a mailing address: Client Services, Inc./Citicards PO Box 1503 St Peters, MO 63376-0027 I was looking at this site because they are calling my neighbors, and my parents, (who live in another town). They spoke to my dad and asked for him by name and wanted to then speak to my mother. My collector is Max Wheeler I read another post someone had a Hal Wheeler contact them... do they use fake names? I have not contacted them because we do not have the money. I tried to work with the cc co but no one was willing to workout any payment modifications with us. Then at 29.99% we just couldn't pay. I told the cc company I would pay as soon as I got work 3 months later they turned it over to csi. What happens next? I live in Maryland. Thanks |

Client Services recently contacted my employer to verify employment, this was fine, but then they proceeded to inquire about my earnings. My employer did not give out this information instead she transferred the call to me. The Client Services Rep was pleasant at first but became demanding and rude after I informed him that I could not make a one time payment but I was open to setting up a payment plan.
At that point I asked to speak with his manager who more of a jerk than the agent. He suggested if I couldn't make the one time payment they would seize any assets I had and/or garnish my paycheck. I informed his manager that I was more than willing to set up a payment plan. The manager was not open to this idea and said I was "refusing to pay". I stated that I was not refusing pay I just couldn't pay the entire amount at this time. Ultimately the manager stated one last time that I was refusing to pay & hung up. I don't know what will happen next but I have since filed a complaint with the FDC. |

This company will try and refuse to provide you their mailing address. They are scared you might not give them as much money as THEY want for their own pockets. Send your payments under your own terms to the following address:
Client Services, Inc 3451 Harry S Truman Blvd, Saint Charles, MO 63301-4047 Send it certified so that if they refuse the letter/payment it will look worse for them because there will be a record. Set your own terms because they won't help you. |

It is not against the law for collectors to work under an alias. I did and it was registered under it too.

Yes collectors will call anybody and everybody to get in touch with someone who can contribute to their bonus check. If someone is ok with neighbors, family and co workers giving them messages (knowing exactly what it is about) to call that company then yeah, don't call and hide. Keep in mind that will not help. I called Client Services in regards to a Cap 1 account. They helped me out and got the interest stopped. After I made a more substantial down payment they gave me small monthly with no interest. Its worth seeing what they have and if they can help you. Its easy to hang up but more embarrasing to get all the messages i recieved

This company should be stopped. The have violated so many FDCPA laws. If we all joined in we would make a fortune. A Mr. Soo kept calling never read the mini miranda, called at 6 am and talked to a 15 year old--called him on that and told him he was guilty of child abuse--frightened her saying we better get an attorney, used profanity, said they would take my house--I laughed at that one--, I told him I was filing BK and he said I couldn't do that. The last time I talked to him he said why don't I just borrow the money from a relative or friend. I said since he calls my house so much he must be a friend so I asked him if I could borrow the money from him. He hung up on me, imagine that.

Client Services is handing my credit card issue and would you believe they are harrassing me even though payment is being made and I have a payment plan? I had two of their people call me indicating I don't have a payment plan. Joe-the arrogant manager, or so he claims, -disconnected the call and I have in writing an agreement that was made. Client services inc needs to know how to treat people and needs to read their own manuals on customer service.

Now many people have a bunch of misconceptions about collectors.
The Federal Government, through the Fair Trade Commission, has specific laws to protect you the consumer. To add to that, some local state laws add greater protection! So the only person that can stop the calls is you! Make yourself aware of what people can say or do to collect any debt. Always remember it's your credit.
