Can anyone give me a good sample of a validation letter and cease and desist letter? I'm getting called from Prelitigation (I guess the same as United Legal) and they are threatening to take me to jail for fraud yadda yadda. I just wanted to send these letters off to them to get them to stop calling my employer. As well as the fact that I'm paying M1Y and my other PDL's through a debt consolidation company. Thanks for your help!

If the lenders are accepting payments from your consolidation company, you don't have to deal with the collection agency. The account needs to be pulled back from them.

Send a cease and desist letter to the collector's mailing address and stop them from calling you further. They must follow this fdcpa law or else it will add to their list of FDCPA violations.

There won't be a need to send the debt validation letter to the CA if you have sent them the cease and desist letter. Leave them option to contact you only through email so that you are aware of their latest activities. Here is a sample of the debt validation letter.
