Oh I complained alright. I got a big woppin correction to my credit file!! Whoo hoo!!
The collection agency said it was a mistake and they got away with it.
Im sorry, peoples SSN#, full names with bills attached do not just magically appear in the collection agencys computers.
I accually called the utility company and they told me that there was no name attached to it and it was sent automatically through the system.
One of the collectors there who understood the differecne between right and wrong told me that the account was nameless when they got it as well. He explained the "skip tracing and property search" process and explained that this happens ALL THE TIME.
So, baisically, they can get away with this sort of crap and when theyre caught nothing happens.
Pretty good buisness idea acually. Get someone by the balls, stop them from getting credit, loans, mortgages, unless they pay whatever money theyre asking for. Legal extortion.

LOl, im used to seeing SSN here...
Yeah, Identity theft occurs in many ways. They should at least have to work for it tho. Whats the fun of ripping people off if its just handed to you.
Its like being allowed to stay out past curfew when youre 15 - thats no fun!
