Is it possible for the PDLs to get my new bank account information and start their ACH debits on that account? Has anyone had this happen?

Let's say you closed an account in one bank where the loan company was doing the debits. You opened an account with another bank and have a loan from another company authorizing their debits. If these loan companies have some connection with them, both the companies will get access to your checking account.
But first thing, unauthorized debits are illegal as per the state and federal laws. You have the legal rights to sue any company for this illegal activity. Keep in mind most payday loan companies share personal information of the consumers. They may show their privacy policies in writing but most of them are biased.

I guess the good thing is that I don't have any loans coming out of my new account. I did open it in another bank and have not signed up or authorized any ACH debits. Thanks for the response.
