Hi brendacovey
I haven't heard about this company. Under the federal laws, the first and foremost step to be followed by this debt collector is to validate the debt in writing. Have they sent you the information about your debt account in writing? You have to ensure if they are doing genuine collection on your debt account. Some legal advice for the consumers dealing with collection agencies is put in the FDCPA. Arm yourself when you are dealing with the collectors.

The first time I received a call from them was last week. I have yet to receive anything in writing. I received two messages from them today. It is the game guy on both messages, but he uses to differant names. Mr. Washington and Mr. Pratt.

I to have been contacted by Mr. Pratt and Mr. Washington. I saved the messages and replayed them and it is the same guy. I wonder what kind of scam they are up to.

I had a pdl through universal cash which I believe was closed down. I defaulted on the loan, but worked out a payment agreement with universal. Next thing I know American debt collectors are calling me so I set up a payment arrangement with them. Well next thing I know my account is being debted by universal and adc
So I called adc and ask them who am I supposed to be paying? She tells me call universal which I do. I talk to someone that says there was a mistake she apologizes and says my loan is paid in full, I say I need a fax. She sends me a fax on their letterhead but doesn't sign it. Okay! Two weeks go by adc calls me again, I tell them this is paid and I have a fax from universal stating that. They say fax it to them and I do. Two weeks go by and they call me again I said I just sent you a fax stating that this is paid and I ask for a manager. He gets on the phone and has enough nerve to tell me my fax isn't vaild because it isn't signed I could of got it from anyone. I loose my cool and said how did it get on their letterhead,
you won't have a leg to stand on in a court of law and I'm not paying them another dime. THEY ARE SHADY BEWARE!!!!!!!! I WOULDN'T PAY THEM A DIME
