Just left me a message saying they are going to send the sherriff to my job since I gave them a bad check?

Are they blowing smoke? I live in Texas if this helps.

You have nothing to worry about. This is a threat to intimidate you to immediately pay. No sheriff is going to show up at your job. This is a civil matter at best.

You don't want these calls to continue. Right?? Talk with them about your loan status and arrange a payoff. They will understand your good motives and you are not avoiding them. If you don't talk, they won't stop these disturbing phone calls
